What's new

Badland (and other brands) Offroad Jacks

I went bottle jack/jack stand hybrid. Only used for actual work once so far, but no complaints. It's a little tall for 32x11.50R15 on a TJ, I tried sticking an RV jack pad under it for added stability, but it wouldn't fit. Had to have it directly on the ground and it just barely slid under the D30 axle tube. That's just the universe telling me I need larger tires.

I have this in my tow rig tool box. Came in handy a lot.
This thing rocks, the only issue is if you leave it on its side it leaks. My Tacoma doesn't go on a long trip/hits the trail, without it!

That's probably to tall to go under a trailer with a Blown tire?

it was slightly too tall for my friend's stock toyota SUV (don't know what it was) that had a flat, I carry one in my truck. For taller vehicles, these are great :) I've not tried them on dirt/gravel, but I imagine they would work well there too.

You just reminded me about the idea I had to make an adapter that would let me mount my tongue jack on my stake pockets. I have the style that uses these weld-on mounts. A simple chunk of angle or channel that catches the stake pocket with one of these welded on would do the trick.
I need to make a list....

HF introduced a 1.5T Badland jack at 2024 SEMA due out next year.

I'd like to see the "controlled descent" across their lineup of jacks. I'm guessing it is as simple as a flow restrictor in the plumbing and am somewhat surprised you don't see them more often.

The local tool place has these as a new product available at the end of the month, can't really find to much else on it other than being listed on Vautozone site:

A 2ton CAT big wheel trolley jack,

Has anyone seen or used one yet? Are they junk?

For the price I might just pick one to use while on road trips and such as 3 ton variety of the big wheel jacks , both CAT and HFT, are to heavy to pick up and throw in the back of the truck.

Seems hard to beat for the price. Another 20% off with the current code "AZFALLDEAL" brings it to $95 + tax with free shipping. I still want one of the bigger ones, but this size might be perfect to throw in the daily for general/trailer use.

The 16.5" lift height with extension isn't ideal compared to the ~30" you get from the others, but it's also 1/3 the price.
