What's new

B1K tomorrow.

a few KOHs ago i got to watch menzies codog oring change a tire right in front of me. oring was unbuckled, net down, basically standing on the side step impact in hand before the truck stopped. onboard jacks going as he grabbed the spare, lugs off before the wheel was off the ground, swapped it, flat rack and was getting in as the jacks were going up, window net up and they were back to race speed, im sure he was still buckling up as they peeled out. sub 60secs for that happen. dude was a machine and impressive to watch

In 1 of their Pre-Run videos, he mentioned he was slow getting his harness off and out the truck, so Bryce already had the jacks hit. Ratchet for the spare tires was at the limit of what he could reach:lmao:, so took even more time there. I’m sure it was still under 2 minutes.

I know most don’t like him too commercial. But why wasn’t Baldwin racing this year. I saw him at Toyo booth last week with his dog and dog handler. He had zero presence at the show this year surprisingly.

Just ran into the kid on KTM that wrecked and broke his arm. He’s in Valley Trinidad getting tacos on his way to Ensenada. We gave him a cold pack to put on his obviously busted and swollen arm. He’s not even headed for treatment yet it.
Is he wanting not have proper function the rest of his life or even not race again. I’d be more concerned about my body parts than a race.

I’m down here chasing Loren Healy and Brad Lovell with the ford factory stuff. The Bronco DR got a rock hit to the exhaust and it broke the exhaust off the headers. We were able to get it fixed completely. Cut 4” off each exhaust tip so it doesn’t hang down in the track get hit.

Brad Lovell is in 8050 and Loren Healy in 773

The ranger raptor 773 is currently stuck at rm 59.5 but the Bronco DR just pulled up to pull them out.
Awesome save and quick thinking!

Don't recall the racer, but they just showed one of the trucks drivers using a string/cable over the dash in his hand as he drives to work the throttle since apparently the throttle cable broke:laughing::beer:
I remember the year the team kicked the plastic windshield out so the co driver could add power steering fluid while they drove at race speed. :lmao::beer:

I watched the interview with the Starlink helmet kid. He is a diabetic and his mom told him the only way he could race was if she was in constant contact with him. So he figured out a way to make that happen so he could race:lmao:
I was dying laughing when he said "my mom's right here"

And she's on a zoom call with him the whole time taped to his chest :lmao:

We’re still going. They had a rough night getting things to SanFelipe. Other than a few new squeaks and rattles both vehicles still in pretty solid shape. We’re right around 26 hours on course at the moment.

Glad to read an update!

Quite the driver size change from Loren to Bailey :lmao:

I made that comment on the first day. Pretty crazy dimorphism there. A 6-3 driver to 5-0 driver. The seat sliders go up and forward. There is a false floor we have to put in before she gets in and she’s sitting on a foot of foam booster. We had to carry this aluminum box in the truck and dzues fastener it in before she stacks her seat bottom in.

So the contingency incident involved some friends of mine. They've made a public statement and have a fundraiser going for the man that was hurt. If you facespace, here's the link:
