Automatic draft registration bill passes house

I was in HS when Russia invaded Afghanistan, and were only a couple years out of 'Nam, I had friends with older brothers that were there for Tet. They reinstated the draft registration so me a couple buddies went to the local post office and filled out the little form. Never heard another word about it.
