Anyone on here buy one of those cheap single cylinder diesel engines off e-bay?

proper heptane brake clean when it is a li'l cold
cheap ether when it is colder out
higher content ether when it is very cold out

too barky for the temperature of the engine and it'll smack back against the starter, when that's your fingers you learn the applicable temperature ranges pretty quick

I'm absolutely not joking about the ether, it gets my car going every morning.

huge nozzles, tiny injection pump, viscous fuel, and cut pistons for lower compression means it'll crank for 20 seconds when it is 50F before stumbling to life
quarter second pip of 3m brake clean into the boost gauge hose, blown into the intake manifold with your mouth makes it fire on the first compression stroke

My jetta is a diesel and it doesn't even have a plug in. It fires right up. My old 7.3 on the other hand, had to be plugged in or it wanted the nose candy
