A couple months ago, I swapped out the stock D44 and installed a D60 out of a 97 Dodge. After installation, I realized (cuz I'm a moron and didn't do enough research) that in doing so, I lost about 3" of up travel due to the size of the D60 housing and the bumpstop landing pad. Before the axle swap, the truck had a 3" spacer lift that came with a bump stop extension, which is still in place and leaves me with about 2" of up travel. I want to get rid of the bumpstop extension, but in doing research it looks like even the factory bumps are pretty long and wouldn't gain much more up travel. I'm looking for recommendations for a "low profile" bumpstop that will allow me some up travel while I save for a solid actual lift kit.

I have 3" lift coil springs and when paired with the 3" lift spacer, I had about 4.5" of up travel, but the truck rode incredibly rough. When I pulled the lift spacer, it obviously dropped the front of the truck and lost the up travel. Should I reinstall spacer, wheel it and deal with it? I included a pic of the bumpstop height for reference as well as the change in full stuff from the 44 (in big bear) to the 60 (random field)

Thanks,
