What's new

A New Scout?

You call your hard cock your retard side?:flipoff2:

Add mine to get old 'retard' to stand at attention:laughing:

It's definitely been involved in my dumber decisions, you know how they say don't have enough blood to run two heads at the same time? I prefer curves on women, but old square junk makes my pants tight.

VW brings the nostalgia of being a piece of shit into modern times. VW: How to make something so heavy, complicated and fragile at the same time.

Silhouette on website looks like a new Bronco and new Grand Cherokee got freaky in a Motel 6:laughing:

I'll buy one if every wire is green like the OG.

I'm actually somewhat interested in one despite every bit of common sense telling me to run. Having owned both VW and IH vehicles and experiencing all the electrical gremlins both have dealt me in the past, I don't know why I'd ever be interested in an EV with either name associated, yet here I am.

I've been trying to come up with a joke that paraphrase the signature one of you had on the old board. "If Ted Ornas had meant Scouts to fly, he wouldn't have designed a 700 pound small block."

But I got nothin'.

Was that Tom Mandrea (sp?) forgot about that.

I couldn't say. I have the memory of the sig line and I had to do some research (because I was like, "WTF is Ted Ornas?"). And then of course, that sent me down a rabbit hole of learning about other useless farm equipment posing as road-going conveyances until I added yet another small list of stupid shit to my huge list of stupid shit I would buy if I win the lottery. (Probably about seven different Scout models, a Travelall, and at least one Wagonmaster. Because if I've won the lottery, I can afford to have someone keeping them all running for me.)

2021 Bronco and 2021 Rivian???

So VW own International Harvester name/brand?🤔
VW Bought Rights to 'Scout' Name, Is Reviving Brand With Electric Off-Roader. Back in 2021, Volkswagen secured ownership of the Scout brand—of International Harvester fame—after a merger in which it acquired a trucking company that owned the rights to the name.May 24, 2022

VW actually isn't terrible at coming up with decently performing 4x4s. Remember the gen1 touareg with the diesel, adjustable suspension and lockers front and rear? Not bad for a luxury suv
combine those with door cutouts from the factory with full removable top...
