Looking around at yokes and I see there is a difference between the 9" big bearing vs small bearing...

As far as the yoke is concerned. What is different between them?

When you talk 9"ers, big bearing and small bearing is usually used when talking about the wheel bearings and/or the side bearings, for pinion, they are referencing a stock pinion support or Daytona pinion support.

Though some yokes can be used with either.

The Daytona pin supports have larger bearings in it for better support. If you don't have one, get one.

9" yokes variables:
28 or 35 spline
Tall and short - short is typically used with the Daytona pin support.
1310, 1330, 1350 U-joints
Flange or saddle yoke.

I might be missing a few other variables

The length of the bore is .200 shorter on the Daytona yokes vs the stock yokes. The length is adjusted for the larger bearing height.
