What's new

$50k MSRP on a SxS

i don't think the stereo roofs really sound that good do they?

I have an SSV BT stereo with front kick panel pods and the wake tower rear speakers on the cage with Kicker speakers. 🤷‍♂️

Looking back now I wish i had done in car comms with the BT stereo thru the headsets. Running fast trails you really have to crank up the stereo to hear it, which means everyone else hears it too and it's not a good look for the sport.

Exactly, and well said. We didn't even put speakers in the KRX we bought last year, and I don't miss it. We often are wearing our helmet comms, and still don't bother to play music through it.

when my BIL bought their Defender he spent about $5-6k on his roof. Banging stereo/speaker system with synchronized LED's and light bars on the front/back. That was about 4 years ago, and he had to 100% finance the purchase including the roof. I couldn't wrap my head around that. I'm guessing the same roof would be $10k today.
I've also not been impressed by the overhead audio in the factory high dollar Can Am's. Polaris's stuff wasn't great until I heard the Xpedition, it definitely impressed me for a factory setup.

Worst part is, the CVT puts them in between peak torque and peak power so you gotta have a decent stereo to drown out the engine noise.

I finally got to actually drive one of these XD1500's on the road. The drive mode select is basically like a shift on the fly CVT in a sense. You can change drive modes just letting off the throttle and it changes the transmission shift points and throttle response. Pretty interesting. Definitely sluggish and detuned to keep it together.
