2006 Silverado 1500 4.3 2wd 4l60e went out.
Pulled a 4l60e out of 2010 Silverado 4.3 2wd, running and no codes.
Swapped the 2010 trans into 2006 truck. Had to take the safety switch on the shifter off the 2006 bad trans and put it on the 2010 trans. Other than that it, it was like any normal swap.
Truck drives but it doesn't get out of 3rd, drives fine though. Temp gets up to 210 after 30 mins driving, so I know thats a little warm.
Engine code p0700,p1815,p0787 popped up.
I figured that this would need some programing, was surprised it even drove around after the swap. Between the codes and the trans temp im guessing the computer isn't knowing when to shift or to shift at all.
What do I need to do now? Is it just that I need to get the trans module programmed?
