What's new

2008 Envoy sas build

finally got around to finishing the assist. Needed a plug tap to do the one port since it's a blind hole and it's not very deep

TMR limits showed up. Ended up with 14" rears and 18" fronts.

Super nice straps too, haven't used theirs before and for the cost can't complain with them at all.

I've been going back and forth with the rear axle placement.

I do and don't like it.

Cutting the links down and retapping them isn't terrible but I'd rather avoid it personally. Plus my track bar mount is already mostly welded.

Got it hanging with the limit straps finally.
Now I can lift it without it falling apart on me.

Looks like it will have a decent amount of droop all said and done. I'm going back and forth with the rear axle placement but I'll probably leave it for now

it definitely runs harder than I would of anticipated.

The cr on the other hand is needing alot of work.

That's the boys winter project

Got it to this point before the expensive to fix stuff comes into play.

As of now once it gets a thicker diff cover on it this track bar deff won't work. Once that's replaced I can put the diff into the floorboards in this position. Had to trim out the rear pan area but it'll do.

So that's not awful for an educated guess on the bar bending originally.

this is basically where the more difficult to fix issues to get more up travel come in.

The upper third link mount hits the motor mount. GM slung these v8s low in the gmt360 platform for sure, deff lower than the s10 platforms. I'm going to trim the bolts that hold the mount and the mount itself as far as I can and send it.

It does have almost full steering with not to much fender trimming. Could deff cobble a stock bumper back on it if I wanted.

Also I'm trying to minimize cutting the original swaybar mount because I'm lazy lol. So I've been inching up on trimming it on both sides as I go which is prob dumb in hindsight.

setting up the front 60 this weekend. Can hopefully get it all the way back together and get the brakes bled.

finally got all the small brake line leaks fixed. So now I can throw the tank back in it since the majority of the leaks were around the tank area anyways.

Switched gears for a min and trimmed this out to gain full steering at full bump no matter the bump.

I've seen alot of people miss that step and bind up and break something significant during full bump/full lock steering situations

Doing the 2.5" bump stop cans now for the rear.

Bigger project than id guessed but it's processing decently enough. Will need to move one limit strap and rebuild the track bar and I can get another 3" of uptravel
