Currently buggy shopping. Most of the ones I like are out West. A lot of the style I want are in AZ.
I’m in West Central Indiana.
I’ve never shipped a vehicle before.
Any recommendations?

Call about rates, insurance, timelines, for starters.

From your location to kindman AZ is 1700 miles 1 way, 3400 round trip.

Figure 3 or 4 days

It's probably cost $2k to do it yourself or if you paid me

Some professional shipper would likely be closer to 3.5k would be my guess, just figure that into your cost

I used Marvel Auto Transport when I shipped my Jeep out to Motech in Las Vegas for a V8 conversion. PA to NV and back again.

That was about 4 years ago and I have not needed any services like this since.

Good luck with your purchase.

Fly out, buy a clean old AZ truck that is impossible to find in the salt belt, tow it with that, sell truck for profit back in IN.

Cons: Increased potential for turning into a proper IBB road trip adventure.

I paid $1000 to have an old muscle car transported from Texas to southern oregon. In my case, the seller knew a transport company but I also solicited quoted from local brokers and cost was similar. Call a broker and get a quote. No need to pay for a custom transport.

I had a thread on this in CC around this time last year. Plenty of IBB guys have broker/hauler hookups. I paid like... 1200(?) to ship a car from LA to Central IN (howdy neighbor btw).

PM me if you want some numbers.

On a buggy I bet it'll be less stressful than a car, because I'm guessing you don't care about a scratch on the paint.

I would advise against plopping all your info into one of the broker boards, you'll get calls emails and texts out your ears. That was probably the worst part.

Hell, with cost of flights and fuel where they are. That 2k offer would be pretty tempting.
I have a long standing flight alert watching for tickets from here to Manchester NH. Flights are cheaper the last 4 weeks than I have seen in 6+ years.

Probably because only 4 people ever need to go to manchester, NH

a 75 minute direct flight to CHS from BWI is up from 300 to 750-$800 round trip. Been watching it for 8 weeks, our trip got cancelled but that was my reference.

With that said. $2k is still a solid offer for concierge service.
