Pics of me towing stuff

They were $200, cut out to the size of the wheel and tire height we specified. Cheaper than buying a set of steel wheels and cheap tires for mockup.

That's not cheaper. That's literally a lateral move from junkyard advertised pricing.

Though I guess they do take up less space when you're done with them.

Once again happy I got the trailer before I thought I was going to need it, this would've sucked on the still not really fixed bumper pull

You're right, spindles are hubs are basically the same. But I wasn't aware the tubes were bigger.
You can get heavy 7k axles that have the same tube as a light 8k. But you can also get heavy 8k axles with a bigger tube. The outer bearing is bigger on an 8k, sometimes the inner bearing also.

That trailer is so small I didn't even see it at first and thought you had the wrong thread
40x48 with a ***anium deck.
It's the fanciest harbor freight trailer on the planet.

It's only problem is being absolutely impossible to back up with. It's so short and you can't see it back there it's jackknifing before you even have time to react.
I did break the wood tailgate using it as snow thrower ramp, so I guess in the spring I'll redo the stake sides and maybe paint them this time. But they did make it 21 years so......

***anium deck and wood tail gate? :lmao:

Could always do the old man trick with fiberglass stakes and tennis balls at an angle so you can see it

that is how my wood splitter is. that ****er is so short coupled I am not sure I could back it up with my quad. lol If have to back it more than 10 feet with the truck I just pull up as close as I can forward then man handle it.

the desert sun is the worst thing for paint. it bakes it right off.

The trailer equivalent of a barn find is a "field find" I would think. This thing's been sitting in an empty field for about 15 years with a load of telephone poles on it.
We aired up the tires and dragged it 15 miles back home with 0 issues. New trailer day.

Going to build a beavertail for it? Looks like a straight deck , guessing it was for hauling freight not vehicles/equipment.

Looks brand new though. :smokin:

I have to wonder if it would be better to just use long ramps and pick the front of trailer up if he needs more clearance. It's kinda ghetto but I carry oil change ramps with me when going to get a car or drop one off. I back the rear tires of the truck up onto the ramps and it angles the trailer pretty good with my 4ft ramps. That's how the RX-7 got loaded even with flat tires.

Yeah it was built in 90, so it's still old school straight deck. It came with a set of 8ft long scrap-fabbed ramps that seem to weigh like 200lbs each so we'll be working that out soon.
We've kicked around a few ideas for what to do to it. So far all we've settled on is get it back up and running with some new tires, wiring, and pulling all the boards and slathering them in deck paint to preserve them a bit longer. At least after it's up and running we can sell Dad's old gooseneck to pay for it.

Speaking of which, Dad's old 1983 MCT did one final job for me last night. Hauled me home a conex from down in bigun 's territory.
