****, weld that thing up, good for another 100k.

I wonder if a stud girdle would help prevent that.

This is what happens when you run your nv4500 out of oil and keep on truckin.

Turn apart several ZF6 that were melted blobs.
The ranchers would rip the oil lines off while tending to the fields and they'd keep going till they melted down.
One guy did it 3x.

Was common enough a buddy came up with a low oil buzzer for them. I can't remember if it sensed oil pressure, level, or temperature though, been over 15 years now.

I don’t know how he’s doing it but dad blew up the guts in this 40 spline RD99CE ARB. possible/probable crash locking but when it actually broke was at a desert race where the locker wasn’t even being used. Ruined the case with big sharp chunks of metal rolling around in there. Also the Mega hi pinion from the same diff.

Front diff?

It's roached but it still worked in 4 gear....
its kinda crazy how you can take out 5th and still not affect the rest of the trans.... buddy installed a lift pump to oil 5th gear because he had this failure a couple times. only thing that solved the issue was a bigger truck. he was asking 110% of the truck

Well me turn to add to the pics. Broke a 14 bolt shaft out by the spindle. Spiral break, that then interferences and bulged and split the spindle looking for a 31-5/8 shaft of ppl have one to spare
