so ive got a 2008 superduty that i got dirt nuts cheap so it got the cummins/zf5 outve my 89 f350 in place of the 6.4/auto. One of the biggest hurdles i found was clutch hydraulics. The 5/6 slaves are different bores but very close on the strokes, ill find the numbers again if this works. You can use a zf5 master & zf6 slave but not a zf6 master and zf5 slave due to the larger bore of the slave you wont get full disengagement. So i got my spare trans out and a zf6 master and heres what i came up with, the end of the cylinder is in the same spot as the 5 was. The zf6 slave is inside a cut down gutted zf5 slave cylinder. The zf6 slave needs to have the outer lip for the push lock removed and i used a flat file to knock it down until it was a good snug fit. Im going to report back as soon as my new pedal gets here, my current was modified to work with a zf5 master. It's not fancy but i think it's gonna work great. I can only find one other write up but he used the zf5 stuff as well.

I should mention the setup im running with all zf5 hydraulics has been good for almost 3 years and 21k miles but it's a real bitch having re resi under the cowl

Ive got a ZF5 master running a ZF6 slave, with a custom pedalbox some backyard hooligan made.....in my '74 Fummins

I'm running the large bore slave on an unidentified OBS master cylinder that actually came from a half ton
it is on a zf5 with a single mass flywheel

seems to work just fine
the smaller bore one was very stiff in the pedal, enough that I was mildly concerned about the firewall cracking, because I don't have the reinforcement plate in there
