Whose song is Pancho & Lefty?? Is that a Willy Nelson song or is it Willy Nelson covering a Townes VanZandt song?

How about Amarillo By Morning? is that a Terry Stafford song that was covered by George Strait, or is it a George Strait song?

To me, almost all big songs are covers of some lesser known version.
