I'm probably jinxing myself by saying this, but the flying assholes have been pretty much non-existent around here this year.

Which is weird. Normally I have to carry a can of Raid in a holster on my belt.

I'm not sure what is different, but something is weird. Where you all live that you're having trouble with them?

How do I kill a nest in the ground? I've been putting sevin dust in the hole at night but they are still there. Keep in mind I don't have a suit or anything so there's that.

Gasoline in the hole followed up with a shovel full of dirt atop the hole to lock them in there long enough for the fumes to do their thing.

I much prefer ground hornets to the ones that make nest on shit because of how fucking easy and final this method of dealing with them is.

oxidizing flame seems to have a lot more crack to it when put into balloons
in fact, more oxygen seems to work better even going way past where the torch wouldn't be staying lit

this is with propane though

That's because literally every fuel molecule has some handy dandy O2 right fucking there the minute it wants it so you get a more instant combustion.

If you had gone with a more stoich mix you would have released more energy but over more time (potentially less useful depending on what you're trying to do)

I dump a gallon or more of gas in the hole and walk away. Kills them every time.

I just got rocked two weeks ago. They swarmed and were cralwing all over my leg, and stung me every where. Hit the nest while on the zero turn.

While that'd be my prefered method, the hole is in-between two roots of a big oak tree so I assume the nest is pretty secure and I'd rather not hurt the tree.

then use my first suggestion. you'd actually be feeding the trees!

Get a skunk

Mix up a really good insecticide with some cat food. They will bring it to the nest and it will kill them all. Put it in little baskets hanging in trees.
