C9nvienently there was a slight mar on the cap the rotor qas pointed to, should be close enough to computer from here
.FYI these things have absolutely no feedback on timing. The computer just adds timing, it has no idea where you have the base timing set at. So if you have it set at 30° base, it's just gonna add all the timing it would have added anyways. It doesn't know your base is off and it doesn't care.

Base timing is extremely critical on these things

Edit: don't forget you need to remove the SPOUT shunt plug to be able to set base timing.

Not the first hill, but the loooong hill afterwards got me :shaking: I was so happy that I'd past some asshole in an old junk ford up the first hill as well :homer:

Figured it was like the electric Mopar of the era, just need the firing order right. I at least got the correct/same tooth on the cam

I have had it be intermittent when they're falling apart and moving around, especially the ones out of the 80s and early 90s cars.

Yup. They like to bounce around for a while and then jamb in the outlet sideways killing flow. Shut it off, its falls out and runs fine again. Rinse and repeat

You can bypass the throttle body if the leak gets bad enough, just connect the 2 1/4” hoses with a barbed fitting. Good luck

120 miles on, cruises 65 pretty well. Doesn't want to maintain 75 as easy, but significant improvement.

Currently pulled over due to significant smoke, appears to just be transmission fluid going onto the passenger side exhaust. Not overly concerning, but was neat to see in the rear view. Transmission is at the very least leaking from the rear of the pan :rasta: under 1k miles to go

Day 1: 900 miles
Day 2: 700 miles
Day 3: 800 miles
Day 4: 900 miles

Time for a shower and bed, glad I took 10 instead of 40 back. Turns out the car will hold 75 no problem, I just can't see that we'll at night  Rained from El paso to gatesville, maybe 20 minutes of sun.

Car died several times at a gas station, took 16 gallons until coming out filler neck. Cars computer and internet say 22 gallon tank, now I'm curious if the mustang uses a small tank and it's the wrong pump. It also cut off all the way twice on me with about half a tank of fuel merging highways from a stop sign :homer:

Well, ain't that the shits!!
Thought of often today. 'He's either rolling right along, or belongs to a chubby senorita in El Paso.:laughing: Good to hear you're home safely. Pleased I met you.
The Lincoln has a convenient seat design, my pistol fits nicely right next to the seat belt release latch

I did move it to under the seat for the immigration inspection guy though
