What's new

Wlp, my favorite forum died twice.

Lowe's recently did this and it pisses me off, even the employees that I know there are pissed cause they don't know where stuff went to.
I was just there on Sunday to buy shit to install my new water heater. Could't find some shit since they just relocated stuff around, I even asked a worker there and he was unsure. I think they move shit around to keep the workers busy and customers wandering around making impulse buys.

It's called a Mod. Basically a modification of the product layout based on incoming/removal of certain products and seasonal changes. Sometimes the higher up layout planner gods think specific shit should be moved to other location with other specific shit to better sell both specific shits, and/or to create impulse buys like you said. Other times it is just plain retardation at play and specific shit gets moved right back cuz sales plummet due to no one able to find and buy that shit anymore.

i don't understand what a push notification is. is that just the little bell up in the corner or is it something else?
Bottom of the screen. Asks you to enable. If you click the "x" it asks if it can show always/sometimes/never.

It actively notifies you about stuff based on your preferences (email, browser window, etc) rather than you having to hit refresh or visit the page.

Think how your phone tells you that you've got a new email without you having to go check to see if you have any new emails. That's a push from your email provider.

It is that, but as far as i know push notifications give your browser that bell also.
ah, that's interesting.

that doesn't sound good either. phone call/text/voicemail those are good pushes

It's pretty flexible in the settings. If you're a complete lunatic you can have it ping you any time someone likes a post. Or you can just set it on a Classifieds post to ping you if someone responds to one of your ads, but ignore the rest of the forum traffic.
