A heroic ROTC student fatally stabbed the crazed ISIS-linked gunman who opened fire inside an Old Dominion University classroom Thursday, preventing further carnage, law enforcement sources said.

Shooter Mohamed Bailor Jalloh, 36, gunned down an instructor before the unidentified cadet jumped into action to put an end to the suspected terror attack on the Virginia college campus, according to sources.

Jalloh, who was previously convicted of trying to support ISIS, walked into the classroom and asked if it was an ROTC class, sources told The Post.

When someone told him it was, he began his trail of bloodshed, which the FBI is investigating as an act of terrorism.

Within an hour of the shooting, school officials said there was no longer a threat to staff or students.
“The shooter is now deceased thanks to a group of brave students who stepped in and subdued him – actions that undoubtedly saved lives along with the quick response of law enforcement,” FBI Director Kash Patel said in a statement.

The instructor, a retired military officer, was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Two other victims were also wounded in the hail of bullets, but appear to be in stable condition, authorities said.

Lt. Col. Brandon Shah was identified as the instructor killed in Thursday's deadly shooting at Old Dominion University, according to a Facebook post made by Voorhees University.

"This tragedy is felt especially close to home for us, as the victim, Lieutenant Colonel Brandon Shah, was the son-in-law of Voorhees University Trustee and alumnus Dr. Dan Martin," the university wrote. "We lift Dr. Martin and his family in our thoughts and prayers during this time of unimaginable loss."
Shah was a professor of military science. His military career was quite distinguished, to say the least. From his ODU website bio:

Brandon enlisted into the Army in 2003 as an Aviation Operations Specialist. While enlisted, he obtained the rank of Sergeant before transitioning. On completing his enlisted service, which included service in the Active Duty Army, Army Reserves, and Virginia Army National Guard, Brandon graduated from Old Dominion University. Since his enlistment service to the present, he has deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom, and a rotation to Atlantic Resolve. Since his ODU commissioning, LTC Shah earned his Army Aviation Senior Aviator wings, flown more than 1,200 hours in 3 different aircraft, and completed over 600 combat flight hours.

Brandon last served as the Brigade S3 in the 3rd Combat Aviation Brigade, Hunter Army Airfield, Savannah, GA. Before Brigade S3, he served as the Squadron S3 in the 3-17 Air Cavalry Squadron overseeing modernization efforts for Attack Helicopters. Brandon’s command time exceeds 36 months which includes a command in A/1-3 Attack Reconnaissance Battalion, A/3-17 Air Cavalry Squadron, and B/603 Aviation Support Battalion. His service assignments include the 101st Airborne Division, 82nd Airborne Division, XVII Airborne Corps, United States Forces-Iraq, and 3rd Infantry Division.
He also received numerous awards throughout his career:

Individual awards include the Senior Army Aviator Badge, Combat Action Badge, Parachutist Badge, and Air Assault Badge. In addition, Brandon has the Bronze Star (2 awards), Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (2 awards), Air Medal with Valor, Joint Service Commendation Medal, Army Commendation Medal (3 awards), Joint Service Achievement Medal, Army Achievement Medal (2 awards) and numerous campaign and unit awards.

Update: DHS Reveals More Information on Michigan Synagogue Attacker

In addition to the attack in Virginia on Thursday that left one dead and two injured at the hands of an ISIS-sympathizing gunman who the FBI says shouted "Allahu Akhbar" prior to opening fire, there was an attack in Michigan involving a rifle-wielding madman who crashed his car into a synagogue in a "targeted act of violence against Jewish community," according to the FBI.

The attacker died on the scene - from either his vehicle catching on fire or by temple security, who immediately engaged him. The 140 children who were at the West Bloomfield Township synagogue child care center were unharmed, along with teachers and staff. One security staffer was reportedly injured but is expected to be okay. Eight first responders were also treated.

As Fox News reported, early details on the attacker were that the "vehicle used in the attack [...] is registered to a naturalized U.S. citizen from Lebanon who lives in Dearborn, MI."

That information has since been confirmed by DHS, which also provided the name of the attacker and other details:

The Detroit Free Press also reported that, per a neighbor, Ayman Mohamad Ghazali lived in Dearborn Heights and had a family member who was allegedly killed in an Israeli strike in Lebanon:

The department did not say where Ghazali lived. A neighbor told the Detroit Free Press he lived in Dearborn Heights, west of Detroit, and recently lost family in an Israeli strike in Lebanon.

[...]

The neighbor said Ghazali had a brother recently killed in Lebanon in an Israeli strike.
Meanwhile, as the wave of terrorist attacks on our homeland continues, Democrats remain committed to withholding funding from DHS:

theres a place downtown thats a bowling alley/party place. first time there went to the bathroom, and went to the sink to wash my hands. no mirror, its open between the men and womens sinks. very strange!

Democratic Michigan Sen. Elissa Slotkin changed her tune on funding the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Friday after a Lebanese national attacked a Metro Detroit synagogue.

DHS identified the deceased suspect who attacked the Temple Israel in West Bloomfield, Michigan, as Ayman Mohamed Ghazali, a Lebanese native who became a U.S. citizen in 2016. Slotkin, who voted in favor of continuing the partial shutdown of DHS on Thursday, said during a press conference that DHS needs to be funded because it is an “essential” agency.

“I would say the department, because they are essential workers, they have been at work,” Slotkin said. “Certainly in Michigan, we have a ton of DHS folks, CBP and so they are on the call and they are doing their jobs. Certainly, we need to fund the Department of Homeland Security and we need, in my view, to cut away all the conversation on ICE, which is its own conversation, from all of the core missions at the Department of Homeland Security. But they’re essential, they are on the job and they are working today.”
The Senate has yet to reach a deal on immigration reforms, including Democrats’ demands for immigration enforcement to ditch masks and stop entering private property without a warrant. A Republican staffer closely involved in the matter told the Daily Caller News Foundation that the Senate GOP will not negotiate any policies interfering with Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) mission.

These lengthy demands were in response to the deaths of Renee Good and Alex Pretti in January, who were both shot by immigration enforcement when they protested their operations in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Slotkin said in a Jan. 31 statement that she voted against funding DHS because of the events that took place in Minneapolis.

Democratic Pennsylvania Sen. John Fetterman was the only member of his party to support the full-year appropriations bill for DHS.

Ghazali allegedly rammed his vehicle into the synagogue in West Bloomfield while several explosives were in the trunk. He then engaged in gunfire with the building’s security team, which caused him to die at the scene, Oakland County Sheriff Mike Bouchard said Thursday. The vehicle caught fire after “something ignited” inside.

The partial shutdown has caused lengthy lines at airports during the spring break travel season, which prompted the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) to call on Democrats to end the shutdown. The partial shutdown marks the third time TSA employees have worked without pay in nearly six months.

WTF? This is exactly the side of America I want to see. Unarmed ROTC students eliminated an armed threat. These guys shouldnt have to buy a beer until graduation.

I miss partying at ODU.
Pretty sure he was stabbed to death so not totally unarmed.

sorry
at what point do you just build a plane you can ride in?
I guarontee you that he could have build an actual plane for the same money

that is a cool setup though

I thought that as soon as they started making the actual jet engines. Knew a guy that was into them and made a test stand on his bicycle so he would ride it to town while breaking in the engine. Got a ticket for something like 35 in a 25 on a bicycle. He had some 10k planes and I said about you could get an ultralite for that and his response was something like "yeah but I don't die when I run out of talent with these."

I'm willing to bet that these nerds understand flight better than have the GA pilots out there
but I get it, they aren't comfortable with it, I didn't factor that into my thinking
I love flying so I default to that mindset

Tyler Perry is a real pilot.

I suspect these get used in movies.
But who cares? ****s cool and if i had millions of dollars to piss away I would build cool **** for no one other than myself for reasons i explained to no one.
