Who Makes the Best Ring & Pinion Gear Sets these Days?

Baseline:
Rear axle - '87 Sterling 10.25 dually
Current gear - 4.10 with factory LS


Going to re-gear my 1ton rear axle and want to know who makes the best quality gear sets these days.


Want to re-gear to 5.13 with either a Yukon Grizzly or an OX cable actuated locker.

I’ve heard from someone that does a lot of setups that the G2 brand is the best. He said they are double lapped and shot peened.

Ford doesn't make gears above 4.56/4.88 for 10.25.


Aren't O.E. farmed out to the Chinese now?

May be but its always the better gear.

Spicers come from Venezuela among other places. Ill always take spicer if given the choice.

Someone needs to teach him the "install it with a crush sleeve, mic the crush sleeve and install a spacer that big" trick.
