i started buying all the fun stuff as soon as my old lady got pregnant. and getting them using it as soon as they are ready.
a couple 6 months back my oldest droped his balance bike and got on a battery powered stacyc bike. he just turn 3yo. when hes ready to move on from the stacyc bike i'm trying to get him interested in the pw50, but might get the next size bigger stacyc. if he wants to do quads i've got an lt80 i'll put a throttle limit on.
he really wants a bb gun, so i've got him started with a bug-a-salt gun. he's getting better with where he points it and such but still not ready for a bb gun. he'll be a squirrel killing machine i'm sure
