Wheeling for 24hrs straight is Tough

I’ve been watching these videos. Looks like a shitload of fun. You get to talk to Jeff much? I used to coach his Ice hockey team when he was younger. Pretty awesome to see him where he is.

Wow great video. Looks like a great trail. Alot longer than I want to do.

This popped up after the Deathwish video. I watched all available videos. Crazy concept! I've done 8am-1am on the trails. I couldn't imagine another 7 hours.

I watched the last one and IMO they didn't really cover a lot of ground. I think maybe 7 trails got cleared in that whole period but don't quote me because that's just from memory. I get it, you have to position cameras and everyone has to wait their turn but still. I'm no badass but for some reason I think that for a challenge or trip or whatever the hell you want to call this you should be seeing how many trails you can clear in 24 hours. This one looks fun though and tough. With as many Jeeps as there were I can see why it took so long. Looking forward to Part 2.

Cool vid. Nothing I could/would do but looks like a good time and some nice rigs. I wonder if there are areas along the trail where you can get off if you need/want to? Looking forward to part II

There is a bypass trail that runs along most of this trail. I pulled out on it once it got dark and let the built rigs do the crazy obstacles of upper tackett creek without me slowing down the group.

Thanks for the vid, great to see other terrain that I may never get a chance to burn fuel on.

You open minded enough for driving tips? I noticed a trend that can make sticking lines more problematic especially in rocks like that.

Cool vid with some really well built rigs, but I had to stop watching out of annoiance from your leaking locker/line, listening to the fawkin compressor kicking on and off! Fix that POS :flipoff2:

It’s been a long time since I wheeled a full size rig. So, I figured they were moving along pretty well for the obstacles.

Hell, on these SXS’s now (I know, they’re ghey :flipoff2:) we’ll do 125 miles in a day and still have time to sit around and drink. :smokin:

My dad has been sending me these vidyas they are good. I thought Clayton was shut down or something. I definitely want to go down there maybe this winter or next spring.

How many of those guys are members here?

So that is a 35 spline ARB, the only other option is an OX locker. I have had that POS out of the Jeep 3 different times. The last time I welded up a crack in it and it started leaking again. If I take it apart again it will be to weld it into a damn spool. My rear Yukon Zip locker has never leaked a bit of air.....

Lay it on me. Next time I am not asking which rig I need. I will bring one of our bouncers and make everything look easy. I did not enjoy being the underdog of this trip...LMAO

Try to make your forward progression fluid. Slow and steady, feel the rig and let her go where she wants at times.

Starting and stopping constantly is a killer. Slow constant forward momentum will make lines easier.

wait. there's rigs out there that survive 24h of wheeling? We'd be lucky if we got 24m in before someone doped something up.

This is so underrated in wheelin.

What's funny is I really figured it out with rc crawlers. I noticed if you just keep moving sometimes you'll go right over stuff. Super ultra slow like toyota guys like to do doesn't always work well either.

A lot of guys think there is either creepy crawl or full throttle bump. Where just rolling through at a walking speed will get you over a lot.

As far as wheelin 24 hours, go to moon rocks NV, that's all you do :flipoff2:

Try running Dusy-Ershim in a HMMWV M1097A2. That's a 3 day weekend if you don't break anything on an upgraded 12k drive train with 3" of lift, 39" iroks, and cutting brakes. Average speed...3mph. There were 20pt turns on that trip (due to width issues) but it was awesome. We had to clear boulders bigger than 4 runners because it was only so wide.

We went a few years ago before all the improvements. It's was a cool place to wheel!

The ARB im running does the same. I think it's the axle housing flexing under stress, but its annoying.
