Do it. We'll have some fun at Esta this summer.I swore I wasn't going to get a GSX-R this year, but now you've got me thinking about something a bit different. Damn you.

Lol. They make the same horsepower as a current generation V6 Camry.BMW 335i. Super quick.
Too much, I have bought a few, never over 6k.My son sent me this yesterday.
? A tune puts it at close to 400whp.Lol. They make the same horsepower as a current generation V6 Camry.
400 horsepower isn’t fast either. I was daily driving a 650 horsepower truck 20 years ago.? A tune puts it at close to 400whp.
And it’s not a ghey camry
your 'super quick' is pretty slowBMW 335i. Super quick.
your 'super quick' is pretty slow
Anything south of 800 HP really isn't shit these days.
I really like my e46 but it's an awd and every time I put it in the ketchup I rip a CV boot and I'm sure the subframe is not going to hold out much longer.
I've got half an idea to get a gmt800 put a truck Norris cam in it and a 150 shot and have fun. I don't think 4l60e will like that much.
My list of requirements is pretty short. I would like something with a common engine so when nitrous go boom I can drop in another engine easy peasy. RWD is preferred but not required. Nothing compact, I'm 6'4 and want to fit comfortably.
Other than that I'm flexible. Budget wise the cheaper the better I'll drive it on the street year round so nothing collectable.
I had a former coworker, not all that much of a mechanic, but copied another guys build pretty closely, rcsb 4wd 1500, stick bottom end 6.0, worked factory heads, aftermarket cam, fuel rails, etc. Huge turbo, like 100mm plus, built 4l80e.
4l80e in a 1500 makes for torsion bar problems, he ran coil overs, set the truck at 2wd height, the front shafts were inverted, but with limit straps, they'd be flat on launch. Stock shafts and diffs, stock t case, over 1500hp, it all held up, and he would drive it to work once a week with the ac on
10s easy
For once I'll agree with you mr broken record. Not exactly a chevette but a close cousin. My brothers current build, 198something Isuzu I-Mark dieselChevette Diesel meets your needs.
I might take you up on that if I find something good in the dfw area.Fly in to Dfw, I’ll pick you up in my rust free Escalade and send you north. Of give me 55k and take my 23/5.0:with the whip stage 2 set up.
I'm currently running an e46 wagon, that's about as grandpa as it gets.My vote is for a V8 Impala/Monte Carlo, sure it is FWD, but set it up with a wider front track.
Turbo the motor with boost by gear and hunt people down in your grandpa mobile.
Edit:
Something like this, blacked out and debaged. Swap in 6.0/rest of the go fast mods. Have fun...
C5 corvette, turbo, meth injection
You are welcome.
C5 or c6 vette gets my vote.
C5 Vette is a decent starting point also. Can be set up to handle and/or be fast in a straight line fairly easily and cheaply because LS and there are a million companies making a million parts for them and everyone and their brother is an LS tuner nowadays.
neither am IMy hair isn't gray.
