Details. My dad got it from some people we knew forever. It was a friends of mines first truck too till he got a B2 then they used it as a feed truck at their fish farm. It had 110k on it. No rust, some dents. Smoked a lot on startup and used some oil but ran good. I ran the hell out of it all through highschool. I would burn off a set of rear tires almost every week. Back when 14s could be found in ditchs on fence posts and behind sheds everywhere. My friend had 100s of tires and told me to burn as many as I could.

65 Rambler 770 Classic, $50 and I paid for it, I was 14 years old, it never saw the streets but man what a fun woods car :)
My first car for on the road was a Chevy Vega, loved that little piece of shit! It was an oil burner for sure.
I never really became overly attached to any vehicles and I've had a bunch along the way.

64 impala ss, 327 w/ fuelie heads, 3/4 race cam:grinpimp: I was 16. Paid $700 for it. Worked my ass off for the money to pay for it. Damn I wish I still had it.

1967 Dodge Dart. My parents got it for for my mom to drive. I think they paid $300 for it (got it from another family member) and she drove it for a year. She then got a new car and they handed it down to me when I was 17, which was the same age as the car. I kept it for a couple of years then got rid of it to get something else.

'79 Ford Courier. Heated (melted) front coils, lowering blocks in the rear...bump stops cut. It was stiff and primer grey with as much stereo as I could afford. For a time it had 2 alternators and 4 batteries trying to keep up with my Orion amps at .5 ohm and 2 kicker 15s. Mids and highs were 3 way 6x9s. Hank Jr. and Skynyrd fucking rocked on Friday and Saturday nights. Many vaginas were slayed, and two virgins got sacrificed in that fucker. It drove like a wore out pulp wood truck but it was fucking cool.

Timeframe was 1993 - 1994

I paid for it. Bagged groceries and pumped gas. Great fucking years.

Mine was a 1976 Ford Gran Torino in shit brown.

My mom paid $350 for it

I was 16

it was the first and last thing I ever got from my family.

I had Liner Power and Coustic amps in it.

I lowered it with spring clamps and put 3 layers of tint on all the windows but the front.

Many girls were had in the back seat which I could lay across without touching either door.

74 Nova hatchback with a 396, chevy hugger orange with a black vinyl top in 1980. I paid cash for it that I earned by loansharking while I was on a med cruz.

Hand me down 1980 Datsun 200SX. Hated it. Beat the shit out of it. Got in in 88 when Dad bought his first mustang.

1963_1/2 Ford galaxy. Bought it from my uncle when I was 13 for $250. I'd been saving from the hay and tobacco fields and furs from trapping. He made the price kind of jokingly and I said I'll take it...😁

390 auto in the floor with bucket seats and console. Red on red 2 door. Sold it when I was 16 and got a mustang.

1986 Yota 2wd pickup, dad paid $500 for it, 265k on the odo, 14 years old, don't have it sold it after 330k ish.

1988 FJ62 landcruiser.

My father bought it new a few days after I was born.

He sold it when I was 10ish?

I bought it from that guy when I was 14 with my money from mowing lawns, shoveling snow, and doing random kid work.

It was a rusty piece of shit with a blown head gasket by the time I got it. I drove it around our small town doing more kid work for a few years until I admitted it wasn't going to get fixed and I sold it to a Cruiser guy for parts.

My first road legal car I had with a license was a 1984 Buick LeSabre.

My grandfather bought it, I have no idea when.

My grandmother gave it to me when Grandpa died. I was 16.

I don't have either anymore.

Grandpa called me when I was 14 asking when I was going to come get my pickup out of his garage. It was a 79 courier long box. Black on black with red, yellow and orange stripes with a tall canopy. Gramps was legally blind but insisted on driving a while and pinballed it off a few cars so it wasn't as nice as it was last I'd seen it.

Dad drove it to work and lost the head gasket and right about the time I turned 16 my uncle sold my dad a black on black 79 mustang. I claimed it as mine since he killed my truck. Big block 2.3 with a 4 speed. Fun car.

Who Paid for it? It was my aunt's car and she gave it to me.
How old was it when you got it? 17 years
How old were you when you got it? 15 years
Do you still have it? Sold it in the mid 2000s.
Details: Originally a 318/904 car, I had it 6 months and blew out a front tire screwing off on a gravel road and slid into an embankment bending up the passenger side fender. At 16 I had no skills and no tools and no one would help me fix it so I parked it for 7 years. Then I lost the storage spot where I had it parked, so I brought it home and put a fender on it and put it back on the road. The truck lid that was rusted out when I got it was much worse so I used a spare my aunt had gathered up many years before and put it on. I also swapped the bulge hood from the same car the fender came from. The baby blue trunk lid and black fender and hood on a otherwise copper/gold car annoyed me, so I painted the trunk and hood white, but that looked a little cop car'ish so I painted a black "X" over the roof of the car down to the corners. The engine was getting tired and the transmission lost all gears except L1, so in went a Mopar Performance 300 HP 360 Magnum crate engine and a built 727 made from the TCI 727 from our old street racing big block Duster 340 and the 727 from my '69 Coronet 500 Convertible. I added headers with wrap on them and to keep the oil from getting on the header wrap at every oil change I relocated the oil filter with a TransDapt kit. The Dayco hoses let go and gutted the bottom end. Mopar Performance at the time had a bunch of "claimer" short block engines so I got one with a much larger cam and higher compression, swapped my heads over and added in a single plane intake under the Holley 750 Double Pumper. IT was good for a bit over 400 HP. I rebuilt the suspension with all poly bushings, larger road race torsion bars, custom leaf packs in the back, larger front and rear sway bars, added my Cragar racing slots with the largest 15" Radial T/A BFG made, Koni adjustables up front, coil overs out back, and went playing around the mountain roads. With the stock 2:76 gears out back she could bury the stock 150 MPH speedometer. The stickers were added for fun, the PIAAs were added since most of my runs were at night and deer are a big issue on empty roads at night. It was a terrific "get-away" car, but one night I got caught in town and spent the night in jail and the car went to impound. I got it out, drove it home and parked it, and then sold it 6 months later to a friend.

My parents bought me a 94 Ford Escort lx when I was 16 for $200 the car was 14 years old. It had 205k on it when purchased. It had 225k when I sold it for $350 a few years later. I have fond memories of it but in retrospect it was kinda a pos. The 5 speed trans was the best part.

Yes most of it. It had a sb 400 in need of a rebuild it burned oil like crazy and ended up having cracked heads.
After destroying the frame and drive train a couple of times it now sits on ¾ ton axles powered by 454 driving a th350 to a np203. I have a mountain of parts for it.
pulling that tree caused the front axle short side stub to spit the ujoint cap.

1967 baja Bug. Originally red, it had black doors and white raw fiberglass fenders/nose.

I paid $250 for it with the engine in milk crates in the back seat, brought it home in the box of a Uhaul, and put it back together in the apartment parking lot. The ignition was a couple wires hanging out of holes in the dash, and the brakes worked fine after 7-8 pumps (gf almost got us killed because I forgot to mention that last). I could fit 27 milk crates or 9 people in it, but not both. I had stock-width studded tires on the front, and 31x10.5 MTs on the back, so on the ice it would start spinning at the slightest tap of the brakes.

Eventually my dipshittery blew the swingaxle trans. I bought another Bug from the side of the road, swapped transmissions/rear suspension in 2 feet of snow at -20f in my parking space at the trailer park- and that trans was bad too.

To my shame, I towed it to the scrapyard and bought a Fox-body Mustang.

1980 Mustang it was brand new off the lot when I was almost 15. I paid cash for it with my own money $4500. V8 (255) i think and a 4spd. I got a hell of a deal on it because some guy flaked on his order and no one else wanted that color. I drove (beat the shit out of it till '86 and traded it off on a brand new Fiero.

I had a 1995 Bronco xlt sport. My dad bought around 2011. He needed a bigger truck when I was 15 (2013) so I got it. I don't remember what we paid for it, I think it was around 5k with 40,000 miles fr the original owner.
I had so many Issues with that truck. My parents bought the truck but I dumped so much money it to it and did most of the work learning as I went.
The truck burnt a crazy amount of oil. So spring break ony junior year of highschool. A friend and I rebuilt the 351w. We pulled it on Saturday, stripped it, got it to the machine shop reinstalled and had it running the next Saturday just in time for school to start again. I bored it .30 over. Gt40 heads and explorer injectiors.
Month after that the trans lost 2nd gear... I still drove it like that. Saved for 6 months and got it rebuild. Huge mistake it should have got a 5 speed swap. Year later still having trans issues and having to spend all my money on it. The shop finally rebuilt it again. It then worked good enough to sell. Summer I graduated highschool I parked it. bought a 92 f250 5 speed 4x4 idi for 4k. Then few weeks later sold it for 7200 with 100k miles and haven't looked back.
Had a 4" lift with a d44 sas, rebuild motor, rebuild trans, punisher valve body, rebuilt transfer case, rebuilt rear and then a junk yard rear, and a bunch of small stuff in between like a sag pump and bigger brakes.

I was 15 (it was Christmas present)
Gone, sold it after HS

Details- parents bought me the truck knowing it would need a motor soon (that was on me). It finally punched a hole in the block the summer before my 16th birthday. Dad had a friend that was a tech at the GM dealership... i had $2500 saved up by then. About 2 grand got me a shortblock, some reworked 70 LT1 heads and a little lumpy duntov cam. I spent the other $500 on a Hurst floor shifter for the 3spd and a Kenwood pullout tape deck.

No pics.

well, my dad drove it home for the cost of a bottle of brake fluid and a vise grip on a line

16 ish?
nope
spring bucket rotted off the frame, brake line blew out, prev owner didn't want to fix it so I ended up with it for the cost of welding together a spring hanger and a brake line
needed the whole rear of the frame rebuilt too, dirt beside the fuel tank rotted it out, so really got some welding practice in there...
ended up scrapping it a few years back, really regret it. Tried swapping a 7.3 IDI in, got it in there but put it too low trying to avoid making new floors, woulda needed to lift it like a foot to get a front axle under it. Ended up sitting without a front axle for a few years and then got tired of looking at it.

1986 S-10, 2wd ,reg cab short bed, 2.8V6, auto trans, got it in 1996 when was 17 from an older gent who'd bought it new and couldnt drive any more. The truck had 26,000 miles on it when I got it, kept it 7 years put 100k miles on it and sold it to my younger brother.

Had the 4500 asking price in the bank from cutting grass and working at a local restaurant washing dishes and cooking, Grandfather convinced me it wasnt a good idea to dump almost all of my savings so he loaned me 2k and I made payments for a little over a year at 0% interest.

74 d200 from a buy here pay here lot, it lasted 6 weeks. never bought another dodge or anything from a bhph since.
