What's new

What should I add next? Need ideas for next handgun.

I am finding out some very interesting firearms in this thread. Haha.

I did add a king cobra to the collection last night, or, at least ordered it. Pretty stoked about that, if only I could find an anaconda.

I know a guy that has a TC Contender in 30-06. Definitely something that’s fun to say you’ve shot.

Since you are on the colt wheelgun track an anaconda is a good logical choice. I wouldn't go shorter than a 5" barrel on a 44 mag..
Lots of interesting options brought up so far.
Other options I can think of would be fun:
Mp5 clone
10mm semiautomatic
(Shameless plug) I currently selling a g20 and g40 with a bunch of accessories and upgrades.
Mares leg (leveraction pistol)
Beretta 92 variant fun to shoot and makes a good suppressor host.
Unless you want to add to one of the lines of pistols you already have, your collection is kinda all over the place, not that that's a bad thing.

That is a nice collection. More info about the mares leg (that would go nice next to my golden boy).

And yeah, my collection is all over the place. I like variety, and I don't know what I don't know about different kinds of pistols, so I like to try different offerings.

That's just most of the sig collection, I think there's a few missing from the picture, but oh well.

I don't have a mares leg, not really my cup of tea, but they are fun, if not practical. Not sure who is currently making them, but the Italians are one of the better routes to go. I'll let the levergun experts on here share their knowledge.

Velocity, fireball, unburnt powder out the end of the barrel. If I'm shooting a 44 mag, I want energy delivered on target, otherwise I might as well be shooting a 45 lc or acp. I know there's short 44 mags out there, and some guys think they are the greatest thing since sliced bread.
Just like a 2" barreled 357 the compact size isn't worth the performance loss for me.
Your mileage may vary and you may love having your hands smacked by your pistol and loosing your night vision to giant fireballs.:flipoff2:

Another vote for a 2011. I got the opportunity to purchase a custom STI build in 38 super from my uncles collection. It's by far the nicest shooting gun I own.

I still think a high capacity 9mm 1911 should be next on the list.

Its mere existence bugs people, yet they are usually accurate as hell and will make you want to sell your plastic guns:laughing:
Can confirm it fuck drives people nuts and they are great shooting guns.

I have a Para Ordnance “Canadian made”P-14 “1911” and most all 1911 people hate it and maybe me for it. :lmao:

When I got my NRA Pistol Instructors cert, we all swapped pistols a few times. EVERYONE loved my Walther PPQ Q5 Match. It's my favorite too, even over my Gen 5 G34 or Sig P226 Tac.

Should add a nice break action....
I've got a Bond Arms in .45 Colt/.410 that I bought as a snake gun when I lived out west. It's great for that limited purpose. It seems well built, though not overly refined. The trigger sucks and it's no fun to shoot with heavy recoil and an uncomfortable grip. I can't imagine that one being any better in any regard.

Those lil P01's are nice guns. Lotta stuff out there to make them nicer as well.

Tisas just came out with a Tisas priced 2011.

I'm hung up on finding a STI 2011 in .40

They did a production 'tactical' model like pictured and the target/competition ones.

Dad's buddy has 2, would shoot both, one in each hand.
Course he has hands that can crush walnuts.

What are you thinking besides a CGW kit?

I dont recall what all I stuck into mine. Shorter travel trigger, and a different sear IIRC. Its far from a slicked up 1911 but it helped it a bunch. Have fun with the sear cage. That kicked my ass:laughing: Also stuck on a FO front sight and opened up the rear a tad.

Although I would spend the time or money on it unless a guy was actually going to shoot the thing
