I have a 99-04 axle in my rig, I'm running bored out Timkens currently (bought from Branik), they are 2 years old, 5000 street miles or so, 7 days in Moab on them, and 8 or so other wheeling trips. No complaints, I just pulled them actually to inspect them and the bushings and all was great. This is in a JKU on 40's.
Buddy has a JKU on 39's, he's had Mevotechs bought of RockAuto in for 2 years. Same amount of wheeling trips, and same 7 days in Moab, but less than 1000 miles on the street. No issues there either. They've been through multiple stub shaft breaks and locking hub breaks as well. We recently bored these out and they have 1 wheeling trip on them since then with no problems.
I carry a bored out Mevotech also from RockAuto for a spare, and recently bought a couple of SKF off RockAuto for a future build. They appear to be good visually and feel fine, the box does say Made in China on it though. I'll bore them out here in a few weeks and hope for the best.
I'll be honest, 95% of my parts come from Rockauto for all of our vehicles now. I can get name brands there for sometimes 1/2 the price of local parts stores. Only downside it the warranty replacement is more difficult, and cores are a pain to deal with if needed.
