Underbody/chassis paint

Indeed. I'll be painting the underside soon on my notchback after removing all the undercoating. No crawling for me though

Fluidfilm IS sheep grease- lanolin.

It's also what I linked on Amazon.

And btw- who cares if the bottom of your truck is stinky? :rainbow: Do you buy grape-scented gear oil?
Regular gear oil smells fine. Rather have that than the dirty hooker beef curtains stink of ATF.

You picked up my mog yet? My $3.50 offer still stands.

Okay, Just thought I'd ask. Have you thought about working less and taking some time off?

Great, You need to take some time off.
:flipoff2:

How do you keep it liquid in the sprayer?
Time off for what? Ain't nobody got time fo dat!

Old metal sprayer on a turkey fryer.

Hope you don't enjoy having skin, lobster boy.

ETA: which is to say, don't do that unless you're suicidal and want to die painfully

I have found that the turkey fryer does make things that aren't normally brushable into very nicely brushable fluids
like asphalt roof patch

I want to try the sprayer, specifically with wax, and I do have a metal one with a metal wand
but I can't bring myself to try it, too much of a pussy

maybe get a HF pressure pot sprayer and stick it in a big pot of boiling water.

Maybe a garden sprayer with a bunch of oil pan heaters taped to it. I’m curious now.

We use a pressure pot sprayer with a magnetic barrel heater as a backup lube setup for our gears. Works surprisingly well.

The other thing that works good is a barrel pump (we use a 50:1 Lincoln) and an airless paint sprayer wand. Run the grease at about 200°F with a barrel heater and blanket and it will spray pretty well.

The Caroseal seemed to work well.

Spent probably 25 hours between the 2 trucks steam washing, scraping/air blowing, spraying the caroseal and then painting.

The Dodge took less time as I didn't mess with the bed. I have a dump bed I need to swap on it, current bed is mostly just held by the 3/8" sheet they used for the floor.

Used about 1.5 gallons total, just sprayed in a cheapie HVLP gun.
