Tuesday Concrete Sealer Question

Trying to sort out the bullshit and snakeoil/marketing lies from facts on all that stuff is almost as bad as for oils and greases.

I've seen some flooring jobs in the garage journal where it was like $15+ a sq ft.
Id be afraid to walk with boots on after dropping that kind of money on a garage floor. Paint job cost more than a new slab would.

No shit.

Half my concrete is sealed with spray paint and overspray, the rest random oil spills.

I still say mopping down 5 gallons of oil will seal it better than anything.

One shop I worked it was slow one day and we decided to do a throughout cleaning.
One for started scraping a lumpy area on the floor and we realized the built up dirt, oil, grease, who knows was 2" thick in some spots, and the floor was actually pretty flat.

We got into a layer of paint overspray, they had rigged up a booth and painted some equipment like 20 years prior. 🤣

I'm currently testing my Rustoleum theory on a concrete paver. going to let it cure a couple days then abuse it with brake fluid, a heat gun, and a wire wheel and see what it does.

if it holds up I'll find some smooth piece of concrete more similar to my floor to do the same. if that holds, I may say F-it and gamble it's gonna hold up better than the "floor paint"
