Pretty sure it's the day that we celebrate the Democrats giving up their slaves even though that wasn't really the end in some places. In some places Democrats held onto them anyway.

They are still largely holding onto the slaves. It's just that the methods of control have been modified and disguised as 'assistance,' the plantation has become Section 8 housing and 'neighborhoods.'

Yes, and bringing in more slaves across the southern border. Make no mistake, leftist policies are evil at their core and intention. They know the weak are being victimized and don't care. They know they are setting up the vast majority to be dependents of the state and those are the ones they want regardless of the cost.
