Trump indicated for election interference

Now that he is going to court is there any chance this will backfire? he should be able to present all the evidence in court that was not allowed before correct? Wasn't there a bunch of stuff where the court refused to hear it?

Also saw a little on TV last night where the prosecutors want this to happen in 6 weeks? they had 3 years to fabricate this case and now they want the defense ready in 6 weeks?

Lastly I'm (in a sad way) glad that this is happening to trump. Other republican candidates would have folded by now i my opinion. They would have been overwhelmed and outspent and would have just gone away. Trump has the money and has the ego to win. The man is still sharp and speaks better than some politicians half his age. You might not like trump for whatever reason but he was a better president than I expected and did a lot of good stuff that they are diligently trying to erase.

The Joe Biden-donating judge presiding over the case will probably only allow evidence that makes trump look bad while throwing out any evidence that makes him look good, so no chance of a backfire.

They would have to find a jury that will actually listen to the evidence. I assume the defense has the opportunity to screen jurors, but this is clown world, so who knows.

to your second question, the right to a speedy trial is supposed to benefit the defendant, not the prosecution. But once again, clown world.

Pretty sure any other GOP candidate in history would of folded like a cheap lawn chair by now.

Disagree... the establishment will continue to hammer him to ensure no other outsider attempt to infiltrate their ranks.

I don't know if it was Rogen or someone else but they said all this legal harassment and charges are only going to make Trump more popular he fights for his life and freedom. He literally has to run and win the presidency or he's going to jail . For those that want him to go away, it's a backfire strategy

What Mikel was saying about he was the only one that could lose it, is that someone who was a lifelong conservative, not brash, not loud and condescending, would have beat her going away by 12% points. WHICH IS COMPLETELY FALSE.

He was the only one who could stop the Hilary machine. What turned away 1 person about Trump behavior pulled in 3 more. He got a higher percentage of black and Hispanic voters than Republicans have done in decades.

Mikel is wrong, he's always been a Never Trumper, his take on this is bad and he should feel bad. :flipoff2:

I happened to catch that miserable DA last night by coincidence live. I love how she wants everyone to turn themselves into custody by 8/25. At least that's what I got out of it, tough to understand behind that beaming smile of smugness like she was accepting an award

I doubt six weeks. There are two trains of thought here. One thinks getting a conviction would benefit the dems because he’s convicted. The other would be to drag it on so it smears him during the election. If convicted, it certainly would be appealed. If the dems control the higher courts, they could stretch the appeal process past the election. If they don’t control the higher courts, it could back fire when it is reversed on appeal. (As long as it is reversed before the election)

None of these charges will get past the current Supreme Court.

I think the judge will impose a gag order so they can leak the bad stuff and close down the good stuff getting out. As far as, in the court, I expect the jury pool is already fixed.
 
I think that is one of the plans. An overly broad gag order that will hinder is ability to campaign

These blatantly political prosecutions are having two effects:
  • They are mobilizing republican voters behind Trump, ensuring he wins he nomination in a landslie
  • People on the left are seeing these prosecutions as confirmation of every terrible thing they thought about Trump. I am yet to meet a lefty who sees these prosecutions as political and arbitrary. Not one.

The people behind these prosecutions know exactly what they are doing.

They need to publicly share all evidence the judge won't allow. Not allowing it further proves how big of a scam the courts are. They also need to go full scorched earth on the judge and prosecution and dig up any dirt they can find to make an example of them to strike fear into the others.

He's found guilty on many charges and gets the minimum sentence, probation etc.

They planned this, Min sentences for this is 10 years, no probation option. Its state, not Federal so he can't pardon himself, and in GA the Gov cannot pardon, it's done by committee, and only after 1/3 of time served.

Basically, he's in for a very minimum of 3 years IF found guilty of this very broad RICO law.

A lot of her charges will be easily thrown out, but they are going to try very hard to make the RICO stick.

Trump's team is already moving to remove the case from Georgia. Would go to Federal court. I believe the premise is tied to fedeeral supremacy and that a federal official doing their job can't be charged by a state. Georgia will argue this wasn't part of his duties. Gonna be interesting.
 
If Trump is on the ballot in 2024 and wins, and both are a big if at this point, who does he get to work with him? Trump has the entirety of the US government and mainstream media working against him. Who is getting in that hornets nest with him this time? I'm talking about a whole lot more seats to fill than VP. Serious question, Trump in the WH again is nothing more than a pipe dream right?
