What's new

Tjm pro locker?

I got mine. Ordered on Thursday and arrived on Saturday. Brand new in the box with all the components in factory wrapping. Verified the 05 SD axles fit the 35 spline gears and set it aside for later. I don't think the air actuator will clear my Barnes cast cover so probably have to try a sheet metal one. Was only planning on a lunchbox locker but for the same price it was a no brainer

How are you going to make the 4.56+ work in the HP housing? I thought all hp gears were thick gears? Edit: never mind, looks like they make "thin" 5.38s now.

Edit: ordered 2 of them

I've got a Great Lakes on my 10.25. Well made, $135.

No idea if it clears the cylinder. It looks pretty roomy, though.

so is this a air locker that operates like ARB with a pressure in the diff or like ox with a air actuator

per the factory diagram .. it's an internal actuator. But it's not tied to the diff cover like the Ox. The comp version looks pretty good -- but not available at that pricing. :-/

Ox, but with the cylinder inside the cover, not through it.

I'm gonna get hold of them and see if they comp actuator can be swapped out. The cylinder bracket bolts on...

Their writeup does mention "stronger materials" for the components, though.

I'd think the comp actuator would swap on, but who knows.

I also was curious about playing with it to reverse actuation like a comp ARB or zip.

Yah ... the diagram looks like you COULD swap the 2nd actuator in.

I don't need the extra material strength ... but the extra/better engagement point is a bonus.

So, who is near me? :lmao:

I went down a rabbit hole looking for sealed solenoids to make it electric. Forget that. Same with the second cylinder. I'll mess with that if one doesn't do the job.

Best price I've found on 4.88 Spicers, but they're nationally out of stock til December. Speaking of gears.

I ASSume Spicer knows what a carrier break is...

Maybe it's getting less common, for a long time I remember people talking about all hp60 gears being made for 4.10 down.

But looks like Spicer follows the Lp style.

Mine showed up just now. Looks like it was rolled to Alaska by a soccer team.

Fucking transit people, lol.:shaking::lmao: I got a pair of axle housings delivered last week and one of the inner Cs was about to fall out on the ground since they managed to break the pallet, rip the shrink wrap and blow out the stapled heavy duty box the C was in....I was lucky it was still there.

That at least looks like a decent container...hopefully it successfully protected the contents.

Running a 44 hybrid up front you lickalottapuss. :flipoff2: :lmao:

30 lbs ... 113 dollars to ship across country (someone in CA was interested). That's why I'm trying to find another schlub here that wants one.

May as well throw a D60 center up there now :flipoff2:

I bought 2, I'm not 100% sure if I'm going to run them f&r or not. If I have issues, I'd rather have them on just one end vs both

Honestly, I don't really have the room for the HP60 up front (and I do have one here).

I just dropped money on pistons, so I can't buy 2 and save for a spare (nor do I want to wait a year and re-sell at a hopeful profit).

Ring gear flange is 2 halves, held together w ring bolts, with 2 tapped holes to split them. Weird. I think it's how you access the locking lugs/spider gear. That slip ring on the right has 4 pylons going all the way through (you can see them in the 2 holes) that slide the far spider in/out of lock with the case.

Dash switch, bearing shims, air solenoid, air cylinder, cylinder bracket, bulkhead fitting

The bracket is drilled/tapped for another cylinder.

2019? There's your sale price.

Hey, made on my birthday!

I'd never heard of these before this thread. Bad marketing.

Forgot to add- some people have problems with the circlip in the end of the cylinder. Looks like it needs a spirolock.

Do it! I wanna see.

I may have to investigate too...

And thanks for the thread. Never heard of them.
