When I was in grad school at wm and mary, I lived in some funkay apts for a year. One of my neighbors, a good ol boy and his crazy wife and wild little kid, had a beat to hell vw. It broke down and Ronnie was having a hard time going to work, so, I fixed it for him. I was broke too, but I bought some parts and even changed the oil along will all the other stuff I did. He was grateful and offered to pay me, but I said, naw, we'll go fishing or something some time.

A couple weeks later, at about 10 in the morning on a weekend, a pretty drunk Ronnie shows up at my door and with a big smile hands me a bag.. well, a double bag... and inside the bag is a goose and two ducks freshly killed and plucked and cleaned.

It is his payment! I smile and say, 'hell yeah, y'all come over for supper tonight. We roast the goose and fry up the duck and have some friends over and Ronnie and his wife. We are all having a great time and have a couple of cold beers... we have dessert and my friends leave and Ronnie's wife is helping me and my roommate's gf clean up... The roommates gf says she's never had duck OR goose and she really liked it.

then she asks did Ronnie get them hunting... and his wife says, 'well kinda'. and then goes on to tell us that he was out drinking with his friends and saying he felt bad that I'd fixed his car and he hadn't paid me and they decided to go to the Wmsbrg 1776 hotel and using food lion bags, bread crumbs and the fuel from old forrester, many ducks and geese would eat the bread crumbs leading to the bag and once in, they pounced on them and wrung their necks.

Color me hatian, but I kinda know about having eaten some quasi tame animals!

I'm not in the poaching is bad blanket statement camp.

Haitians eating geese or dogs or cats or whatever doesn't really bug me.

That it came up at the presidential debate and is the biggest thing anybody will talk about from it is absolutely hilarious.


If Columbus is so poor they have nothing left to eat, that's a bummer. If all the animals get consumed because an overwhelming amount of people are dumped there due to terrible government policy, that should be the bombshell. That should drive decisions and criticisms.

Maybe this is what it will take to get the NFA repealed :smokin: Taxes for food procurement are racist!

Full List of 158 Democrats Who Voted Against Sex Crime Ban on Immigrants​

More than 150 Democrats voted against Republican Representative Nancy Mace's bill that would ensure undocumented immigrants convicted of sex offenses are deported or deemed inadmissible to the country.

The Violence Against Women by Illegal Aliens Act passed in a 266-158 vote on Wednesday. Every Republican present voted for the bill, as did 51 Democrats, while 158 Democrats voted against it.

The bill would also deport or deem inadmissible to the country undocumented immigrants who have been convicted of, or admit to having committed, sex offenses, domestic violence, stalking, child abuse or violating a protection order.

Whenever something like this pops up, I always wonder what the poison pill in the bill was.
Maybe I’m just cynical, but it seems every bill has all sorts of shady shit buried in it (well, shady depending on your politics I guess) that crosses the political line and forces a no vote on a seemingly universal idea.
 
I was just listening to the news in the background and a harris ad came on and it was all about abortion. The last line of the ad was that "What decisions a woman makes about her body should be made by the woman and not by the government"

I didn't read anything that anyone other than an illegal rapist should object to. The party that's supposedly the only one that cares about women cares more about voting against Republicans just to vote against Republicans than they do about women being sexually assaulted.

The left will lose their fucking minds over Roe v Wade being overturned and the GOP blew midterms over it. Dems vote this down and the same voter base won't even bat an eye over it. If the parties were reversed on who introduced this bill and who voted against it it would be all over the national news and you'd never hear the end of it.
