The memory hole thread

Preventing people from living in your country based on what religion they have also isn't the best way to preserve personal freedoms.
Why not? they are not citizens of France and a country's freedoms, in large part, do not extend to the entire world. If France was to deny some service or right to a citizen based off of their religion that would be terrible. Foreign people do not have a right to citizenship in France, it is a sovereign country and should be able to prevent itself from being erased by ideologies antithetical to it. I really don't understand your argument at all. The good thing is that the ruling coalition in France will continue to allow immigration of muslims and will continue reap the rewards for all of Europe and the world to see.

Every country makes a choice as to whom they let in. So I'm not seeing the problem to the people who are already residents of said country?

vastly different
Ok if that's how it has to be sold.

France should not allow people in who come from countries where the religious state enslaves or kills religious minorities. There could be a case for people seeking asylum from that. (Asylum in the old sense of fleeing persecution in another country, not the new sense of some NGO coached me to SAY i'm being persecuted.) I'm sure those in charge of France will feel very smug and superior about how free they are when they are lined up at the side of a trench waiting for their turn to be stoned to death under Sharia.

I've got a Canadian girlfriend, been here for at this point, more then half her life. Still has a green card. Has a job in Healthcare, big demand in the states, and it expensive for her to immigrate here. So where do we make it easy for those that are useful and those that aren't?

Should we create more barriers? For a group that has shown its self to not self govern and hates the fact that your wife can wear spandex?

The USA has a national religion?

Based on foreign funding and the past 30yrs of wars, I guess it would be Jewish.
No we don't, as you well know. However Islam is a little bit more then a religion. It is a governing body. Much like Christianity used to be.

We TOTALLY need immigration REFORM, but we also need a secure border and immigration policy that returns home anyone who is in violation (and this includes people who have overstayed their Visa)

My co-worker has waited 4 years to get his wife over here. Had another guy who we really wanted to hire from Albania (he was an excellent Tradesman and was a great fit with our company) and the loops were such that we just passed on him.

I thought we were talking about France? We're talking about the US now?
Just resident populations within a country they grew up in! And France is alot closer in governance to us. That said we should be doing a bit more civil disobedience to remind our government that they are beholden to us... not vice-versa.

Just like any other religion, we've got plenty of Muslims in the US contributing to society. And just like any other religion, I'm fine with poking fun at them.

As for immigration here in the US- I think it's foolish to use a catch-all approach of religion, region, or whatever other blanket statement people want as a filter to who should be allowed to immigrate to our country. That's a sure fire way to accidentally deny someone who could be an asset.

Meh there is something to be said about profiling. If your use to the country outshines the religious beliefs you hold then sure. But you do have to frame it as what can you do for us. Besides paying taxes and into ss.

Ok... here is an idea.. (and I am just spitballing here). If you are immigrating from a theocracy, . To make sure they are willing to be a part of the "melting pot" and represent what hollywood portrays as American Culture, If you are a muslim, you must french kiss a dude, and send some tit pics of your wife. just to make sure they are open-minded & down with the culture. :grinpimp:

Can we at least man the gates for awhile to keep those that actively want to hurt us out? It could get easier for the good ones to get in if we managed the gates better and quit just turning our backs and letting EVERYONE across with vetting. As with other things, those that follow the rules get screwed, and those that don’t get the prize.

And nibble some pork! Lol I'm equal the jews have to do the same.

But really it does come down to... do we the collective do we want you? And are you going to be good for the collective. Because unfortunately there's not enough land for me to get far enough away from the collective, for me to be happy. And I'm tired of the ponzi scheme that we live in😆
