Today I have joined the ranks of the retired.

40 years with one company, and a circus of crap jobs in my youth. To be fair I thought this would be another job in a string of jobs till the next one came along..

For the last year I've been comanaging my moms assisted care, we are getting a handle on that and we plan on traveling the states to start,
A little rock crawling, a little cultural shit for the wife, some Iconic NASCAR tracks.
From there Who knows??

I have a stack of cash, that's burning a hole in my pocket

Decent pension, and a decent 401k. should set me up.

I’m trying to have all my major projects wrapped up (toterhome, new wheeler, street rod - all done and paid for) If I have to go another year working to pay those off it’s not a big deal. The gf can’t retire until 2 years after I’m eligible. That still gives me a year to myself to enjoy being retired before the honey do list really gets established.

I am six years into my retirement. Widowed but recently found a great GF. I am also into wheeling and working on old pig TJ's or Yotas.
I got a couple of new hobbies... Horses; bought a great little mare quarter horse paint; going western! Got myself into Ham radio; fucking money pit, very interesting; but fun. Into cooking.... I am taking it seriously... Going all out on French, Spanish and Aisan foods.
Watch your health... Get plenty of exercise! Stay off the couch! HAVE FUN!

11 days in Oregon and roughly 2000 miles all around it and I have to say, those people know how to pass and then get over. Never seen anything like it.
