Southernfriedcj8 is dead

His name wasn’t too hard to find, not dead

Friends of mine had a cabin about a mile from Ted’s. We had to hang out in Lincoln for a couple of hours one day when they moved his cabin. Can’t remember what they ended up doing with it though.

The FBI has it. It was in a museum, museum closed up, fedcucks took the cabin.

Did he happen to rent it out in the late 80s?

If so I lived in it. Decent sized log cabin with bedrooms in a loft above the kitchen. Think there was a stream out front just off the porch.

We were just past his cabin up the road.

The FBI taking the last one wasn't a clue :flipoff2::lmao:

They brought that cabin down Rte 70 the Feather River Canyon while we were on the Bridge work at Storrie, CA. Long time ago. I think it was on the roadway, not the adjacent RR. It was headed to Sacramento or San Francisco for the trial. Either way it had to go through at least two tunnels. Is a flat boy lower than a RR flat car ?

That was the neighbor iirc. Been awhile since I’ve been up there (lost the friend in a divorce:homer: )

Yeah, so they can take credit for the bang up job they did in finding ol' Teddy over 20 years. Had to get him served up on a platter by his brother.

The Unabomber's cabin is on display as part of The FBI Experience. This self-guided tour takes visitors through many of the bureau's most notorious cases, emphasizing the hard work and determination each agent puts into capturing the bad guys

He wasn't a serious threat to the FBI or their image so they they didn't really give a shit until he was served up on a platter and they had to go get him to cover their asses and get their little promotions.

The FBI needs a sufficient volume of people like the unabomber to be "out there" to justify their existence, or at least the parts of their existence not directly related to chasing obvious interstate organized crime so there's no motive to dedicate more than the "required for PR purposes" amount of manpower into looking for them.

Yeah, well I remember it differently. I was living in Sacramento when the bombings were taking place, and the Sac Bee was doing stories about it and how the FBI was involved, and how they couldn't figure out who the perp was. It was not a good look for them.

FBI created "profiling" concept literally from the unabomb case and among other infamous cases.

Because these cases had no explicit patterns, neither victims or suspects knew each others, aside a "signature", handwriting style.

Had Ted not wrote as many letters as he did to a point his own brother identified his writing style, he'll get away with all of it.
