In. Doing some machine work for a buddy. Have to drill forty 1" holes in these 1/2" thick plates for one of his big pieces of equipment. Made a little fixture and drilling away. First time trying an annular cutter. It cuts good and leaves a good finish, but getting the slugs out is a pain. I'm able to wiggle them out most of the time, otherwise I have to drop it out of the collet to push it out w/ the centering pin.

I was up all most last night as my hip decided to act up, after copious amounts of Acetaminophen and Ibuprofen it got tolerable enough to get out of bed early for a nice quiet coffee all by my lonesome only to find both dogs had created a lake of piss at the top of the stairs. I cleaned that up and hip was killin' me again so I just went back to bed. The only silver lining for me was I was able to watch an American Greed marathon, I'm diggin' it.

Dindu nuffin except chew pain pills and sip coffee the rest of today, GF is makin' us French dip sammies for dinner and I'm lookin' forward to it. Probably chew some more pills and head off to the rack after that.

I never ever gave a thought to how badly I treated my body most of my life and now I sure wish I could go back and do a few things different.:homer:

I think your fixture is pushing the slug up into your cutter and is making it stick in there. The slugs usually have a little ring of uncut material around the bottom. Can you clear out the spot below the holes in the fixture?

Don't we all. The old guys warned us but we were to smart to listen! Then in the middle of the night your knee decides to remind you as you wake up trying not to scream it hurts so much

Yeah, I actually did that and it helped. Took a 1", 2-lip cutter and cut about a 1/16" deep relief in the bottom. I probably should have spaced the fixture off the table and cut a hole all the way through so the slugs could drop out. It's working as is, so I'll probably just push on. Got 6 of 20 pieces done before I called it a night.

I was up with a production software release until about 4am. Slept in a bit then my parents came up. We put a solar light on the shed then groceries and pizza. Watching vice grip garage and having some cold beverages now

Drinking bourbon at my California transplant neighbors watching the World Series.

Raisin' hell in Austin just after sundown
When the hoosegow police decided to come round, they said
"Boy, what's the matter with you? What you tryin' to do?"
I looked at the man and I said
Oh boy, I think I'll have another one of these
(You're dreamin' buddy)
What?
(Time to go home)
It's time to do what?
(Go home!)
Uh, but I don't wanna go home
Hell, home's in California what am I supposed to do
Get on a horse and ride all the way back to LA?
(Yeah, don't fall off)
I don't understand
(We ain't got no more)
What do you mean you ain't got no more liquor?
(Split goofball!)
The hell you say! (Hahaha, suffer!)

Ya made me dig through my CDs ya jerk:laughing: Forgot how much I like their early stuff.

Went to Mom's this morning intending to install a hitch on her car only to find that I'm retarded and ordered it for the wrong model year. Played with chainsaws a bit. M18 top handle I just got is pretty impressive. Good for walking around cleaning up trails.

My bender grew some wheels too, this better Etyler2?

That’s so wonderfully redneck.

In again.

Found some cracks in the wire insulation on the hallway light the hard way. Wire brushing paint off of the post to mount the light and bang!:homer::shocked:

Breaker tripped like it should but now half of my circuits are not working. Turned off the main breaker and I’m getting 120v on one leg and 30v on the other from the meter. Meter is acting all fucky too. Power company is supposed to come take a look here in a bit. :homer:

Smud guy just left, problem is before the meter. The bad leg is bad coming out of the ground. Crew will be out tonight to locate and dig up some kind of junction box. If they have to replace the wire I’m going to talk them into 100 more amps.
Are they covering the cost?

Nobody has mentioned cost. I am assuming it’s their equipment and their problem. But I have been honest that I tripped a breaker so we will see.

They came out and installed this thing which I assume turns 1 leg into 2. He said just run everything like normal. Everything is currently working. A crew will be out to fix it in a few days.

It won't be just wire to increase amps to the house... more than likely they have to upgrade the transformer servicing the house. I went through this with PGE and it was going to be a big $10k++ shit sandwich for ~120' of wire and transformer to get 400amp service.:shaking: I was going to still have to pay for a transformer just to get 200amp service(wiring was good enough for that)... I want to say just a hair over $10k for that.

SMUD might be nicer than PGE but I don't recall them being nicer.
