What's new

Snlc

In. I showed up at my new house that is still under construction. The damn sheetrock crew had just about finished the job. They were not supposed to start until next week. :mad3::mad3::mad3::mad3::mad3:

The contractor didn't know it until I told him. He knew I was going to insulate the interior walls, add the plumbing for a mud sink (after realizing i had enough room), and block for the tv's and the mantel. The mantel is an large oak one.

Then i find the little Mexicans did not remove a nail and a stable. They pulled the cardboard down. On top of that, you can see daylight through the joints. It is coming from the front porch. It isn't enclosed yet. That is when I realized. They installed the walls first then the ceiling.

So, after installing some blocking for the
front porch swing. I started removing sheetrock.

In. Up early, fixed my broken tailgate, landfill run, pallet pickup for side hustle, worked on the shed doors (rotten wood, won't close tight, looked at converting to french, too expensive ), started cleaning up stuff from the move last winter.

Started working on a pad site for sons trailer tiny house, ran the saw and Kubota silly. Plenty more to do but made good headway.

Pulled the gas tank off the zero turn, got it running again after fixing a kill wire at the seat switch a few days ago, only to see shit floating in the bottom the tank I just cleaned in August when I was filling it :shaking::shaking::shaking:. Fuck me.

Also, the project 74' F250 my son in law sold to a buddy of mine, is now in my front yard. Buddy decided he had too many projects. So $400 later its here. :homer:

Not sure if fix a few small things and flip it, or just keep it and beat it. Old 360 with a 4 speed. Runs and drives, lots of rust, make a great old beater after fixing the brakes and addressing some leaks. Found a four barrel intake on FBMP.

Before we talked about that this morning I had sent a message on FBMP to a guy with a 74 Econoline with a 94' 351w and 5 speed. Probably going to add that to the yard. :homer:

Fuck it. I love old stuff.

Now drinking wondering if I'll be alive tomorrow afternoon when she gets home.

so overly whacked my self at Thurs that I did very little around the house Friday(laundry) and today took it easy with the kids and grandkids coming by to visit and grandkids with friends working on their F350...brother stopped by to borrow the hilift jack. just one of thos days you dont feel like doing much, so I didnt. i tend to run out of energy easily, s I have to learn quickly to slow my old ass down and pac myself or I pay for it every time.
so, I guess Im in for tonight...had frozen pizzas and water, watching SG1 from the recliner.

In. Mowed half of my grass, probably the last mow of the season. Took the kids to the local pumpkin patch that had some fun games and stuff to do, played Cornhole and volleyball with my 12 year old daughter. She usually has too much of an attitude to want to play games with her dad, so I was super stoked to hang out with her. Tomorrow we have 2 turkeys to butcher and stick in the freezer.

In. Wrapped up a 'double shift' and starting to research my 05 Lexus GX470. Previous owner did full synthetic oil changes:eek:

I finally found the oil dipstick... pretty well buried:homer: Lots of covers in the engine bay.

I'm also finding all the 'little' things to nitpick and fix. Starting to be a pretty good list but still not worth not buying it. 'Big' minor issue is the rear hatch stay... it doesn't hold the door open fully but the mid open catch works.

Tomorrow is going to be wrap up a 'small' metal shed assembly and weed whack the flat spot clear so I can drag the shed over. Then resuming more GX470 scanning/fix/break out the creeper.

In now. Tested out the new heater in the camper last night. It worked great but the house battery shit the bed. Ordered 200AH of lithium to replace the one lead acid. Moved some downed timber from 2 weeks ago with the new grapple on the skid steer. It worked better than I was expecting. Got a couple of parts in to convert my Starlink to 12vdc and it worked for a bit then stopped. Beat my head against the wall for a couple of hours only to find that my 12v source was almost dead. Enough to turn the led on but not really power it up. Now I can get to wiring the camper and putting in a plug for the Starlink. Played with the granddaughter tonight, they are gonna be busy for our regular Sunday dinner, so now I have nothing to do and all day Sunday to do it…. 😂

only been sitting in my tool box for 10years before i used it for the first time. In about 30more years itll pay for itself.

Gm ifs pitman arm puller.

You dont have to pull the box bolts to pivot it for a bell puller or drop the sway bar.

The dog bone end rested kind funky on the frame, idk if its a 3/4t issue or just the way it is.

Worked well. Could of used the shit out of it 15y/a but ive done 2 gm ifs arms since i bought it. It was probably the last thing i bought off my first snapon guy before i left the good 4x4 shop.

Got squid fired up this morning and shes turning into a bad bitch. Helped all day with the burb, never bitched once about getting/being dirty.

Then she swapped the tires out on the superduty.
She got it backed up to the trailer with minimal instructions.

Threw some torsion keys in the burb while it was apart. Its was retardedly low to begin with, made a big difference.

Still feel like crap, mowed the grass didn't straighten up the yard just cut the grass. Tried to bbq a pizza but got pissed off and wife cooked it inside instead.

In.

Pretty sure I ran through my entire vocabulary of curse words trying to get a pair of trailers backed into the yard at work. Raining like a bastard, cross street at the end of the road was flooded so everyone is turning around and doing mach 12 past the yard. Apparently the big metal thing with the blinky lights going backwards across the road is very confusing to the average windowlicker. :shaking:

Made it home, now drinking beer and trying to talk myself into buying a night vision scope for the 22 so I can dispose of the local raccoon population in style.
decent thermals are oddly cheaper than good NV

I was looking more at the cheap NV stuff. I'll look into the thermals though.

Pretty much any of that up here is bloody expensive though. Probably gonna have to go across the line and bring one back that way.

you might not wanna talk about doing that
itar and all that, state wants you dead, etc

fuckin magnets, how do they work?

I’m not really an icp fan, however, I will give mad props to those dudes or anyone else who has to get industrial makeup applied. 30 minutes in the chair while my hairdresser glued my beard and eyebrows flat, painted everything on, and it actually turned out really nice.

You will immediately find anyone who has coulrophobia, not bad for $4 in face paint. Totally worth it. :grinpimp:

So... do you have a picture? :homer:

what is this
I know I could google it, but if you're gonna be mister big words I want you to explain it
(alternatively: don't give me no scientist)
🤡 phobia

I like knowing words like aibohphobia or the fear of words spelled backwards. :lmao:

Still saw a bunch of sign again but no elk........until im driving back after dark and they crossed the road 20 yards in front of me.
Spending time with buddy/ies in the woods is awesome, harvesting an animal is a bonus.
