Wife bought me a 36" Dia windmill head for my birthday......in Oct. Wanted here so I could build it before it got cold and not get in the way of hunting season.
Built the tower today.
Will finish it tomorrow.
Drinking ice tea / lemon aid and vodka.
Going to make pizza for dinner.

In, ran my kid down to the transfer point in Kingston ny, for the hand off with her mother. Drivers side front was making noise. Said to hell with it and headed to the drop. I wasn't having my ex do the entire 10 hour round trip. Fuck listening to that for the next few years! Stopped in granville new York and saw the smoke rolling out from the wheel well! Yay. Stopped at the carquest and got cv shaft lower ball joint and ordered a unit bearing. Started for home... 15 minutes from home the front end said enough! Called a flat bed to take me the 15 minutes home and drop my truck on the driveway.
I am now drinking shit beer and fixing the shit that I should have before.

And vermont truck so I'll get done next week some time..... fuck corrosion!

I did a few things around the house today but didn’t accomplish much.
Made a hardware list to pick up in the morning for mounting the 4-point harnesses in the sxs.
Now I’m relaxing and reading Surprise, Kill, Vanish. This book is really interesting.

Tomorrow the daughter and I will do some shopping in the morning, then get the harnesses installed, go to the lease and swap cards in the trail cams, and clean up the ford ranger so I can list it for sale. Probably finish the day with steaks and sweet corn.

Worked around the house this morning, went next door to the neighbors yard sale and meet up with my brother and lent him a hand getting his stand load his hunting stand on the trailer. After that I drove over to the other neighbors and helped them with some projects, then drove to the grandparents house to talk to them about stuff.

Talking to grandma and we get a call that the neighbor, with the yard sale, had a family of stop by and they lost their 5 year old autistic son. We formed a search party and spent 3 hours looking for this kid. Cops show up and everything. SOB was just at his house…. The cops were pissed.

Left the house about 5:30 this morning for work stuff. Wife text me at 8:45 that our youngest threw up in his bed. I was 2.5 hours away at that point. Turns out he has a stomach virus. Made it home around 12 and hung out with him for a while. Grilling steaks and drinking a beer now.
 
MTB ride and worked on the house today

Apparently I bricked the internet unplugging the router so I could replace some drywall. Was hoping to watch the MX race but we’re having a beer on the porch watching the rain instead. Not mad about it
 
Back IN. Machine arrived got it off semi trailer and on to gooseneck. Put them side to side, only about a foot difference in height. Then the rain started again. Going to wait on driving it down the powder coated wet ass ramps. Cause we all like pictures.

I have felt like crap all day including having a minor fever when I woke up. Took a few doses of dayquil so I could be semi-useful. Hoping it starts to clear up tomorrow.

Managed to start tearing up the flooring in living room. I have most of the hearth slab pulled knocked out. Just need to finish scooping out the old mortar. Hoping to keep moving on it. Wife wants to wrap the fireplace in drywall and just leave an opening in brick for the firebox area.
 
Shot a match this am, finished 28 out of 71 shooters. Cleaned stages 1 and 2, dropped 1 on stage three then only shot 50% on 4 and 5. We had some exceptional shooters today with 5 guys cleaning the match going down to the tie breaker. Hot as fuck, but a good time with good friends.

Had a zoom call with my 94 yo Mom, who is doing great... retirement home drama not withstanding.
 
In for a bit. Did not do much today. Once my roommate got off work, we went to the beach to meet up with some others. A few of them were surfing and I took my surf kayak. Unfortunately, I did not have any luck getting past the first break. And they did not have any luck catching any waves. Oh well. Now I am waiting for him to get home so we can get his glider out of the garage and into its trailer to go set it up in a hangar 40 minutes away. It has been way too long since he put it in the garage and blocked off the workbench.

Supposed to pick up my load tomorrow, they keep giving different pickup time, so in the morning I will see if I can load earlier, if not shit will be late.

Other than that, about to find something to watch.

In. Worked this AM then came home and did a few chores with the wife. Sorta cleaning the house because she offered it for her back to school party this Friday.

Drinking, trying to get her to make me birria tacos. I'm being lazy.
 
Got up early and had my coffee alone on the deck in the quiet of the morning, after a second cup I got out to take care of the yard work. One thing leads to another and before I know it it's just about 2 O'clock. I was finished so I grabbed a shower and got my dirty cloths into the laundry, I also fit some lunch in there too. It was too hot by then for a fire so it's drinks in the house again tonight. GF wants wings and things and I won't argue even though I gotta make 'em.

Rack early and off to have a nice visit with Mother tomorrow.

Spent the morning working on the front end of a friend's truck. Pretty sure it's a tire starting to separate, and not anything mechanical causing the vibration, but let's throw the list of parts the shop recommended at it and see what happens.:homer:
Getting really fed up with shops trying to screw people that don't know any better.

Supposed to go hiking in the morning, so probably should figure out something other than beer and pizza for dinner.

My mom's water heater died yesterday, nbd it's hot outside anyway.
My brother goes to remove it, shutoff valve is broken. Tries the main shutoff, it's broken too. Cool, he shut the meter off, it doesn't shutoff either :homer:. I took the meter loose so he could sweat the valves on.
