What's new

SNLC

Still chipping away at chores. Just moved the working pens and squeeze. Hauled base this morning to make a pad for my fuel tanks. I moved them to a better area for me.

Wife has been making me some whiskey and lemonade drinks or something like that. Not sure what's in em but they're sure tasty on a warm day doing work.

Wife had work today. When I asked my daughter what she wanted to do today, she said "I want to go to the mountains".

The work week sucked but at least it went fast.:flipoff:

Got the Bronco running last weekend, kind of. When I prime the fuel bowls and give it a shot of starting fluid it fires up and runs decent until the gas in the carb runs out then it dies. I cracked the fuel supply line @ the carb and its bone dry - I'm pretty sure the fuel pump is done. Next step is blow out the lines and replace the pump, I just need to decide if I'm keeping it simple with a new mechanical pump or if I'm going to plumb and wire in an electric pump (dual tanks).

Just going to chill for the rest of the evening with nothing planned for tomorrow.

Sitting in my car, wishing I could get it under a shelter and work on it. Soon enough, I suppose. Picked up some more materials for building the shed. Cleaned up some of the den in the house so the boys and I can sleep downstairs where it's cooler.

Gotta go see what else we can get done.

It rained most of the day and the community fundraiser golf outing was cancelled. So, the wife, youngest daughter and I went to town and grabbed some stuff at the farm store, fabric store, and hobby lobby. Tonight is going to be full of doing nothing and going to bed early. Tomorrow the daughter and I are going to get some dirt for the raised planters we bought today. After that I need to get on the garage roof and see if I can find where water is getting through the flat roof membrane.

In,

I worked at the shop all day and got a lot done. I randomly check on dad at the farm shop and he’s just about to put air in the tractor tire. I go to help out and realize that the valve stem is torn, so I dart off to town to grab the service truck from the car shop and help him swap the valve stem out.

Time to go wash off this Murphys tire mounting soap…

It was raining too hard to do anything outdoors so I gave GF a hand in the greenhouse for a while before going inside to take care of some house cleaning. I still don't have the urge to work on my chainsaw so maybe tomorrow maybe not. It's fend for yourself night in the kitchen so I'll be making myself some of those little smokies and some box mac & cheese if I get hungry enough.

In, looking for an old truck to daily and sell the newer ones, thinking insurance is about to sky rocket and what not 🤣🤣🤣
Sometimes older costs more than newer you can price insurance before you buy something. I did that years ago was looking for a scion coupe to dd found it was cheaper to insure a g35 coupe at the time for literally 1/3 the cost of insurance

So "dinner" was fucking McDonald's followed by an argument about how all the neighbors think I'm an asshole for wrenching and blasting shit like Hatebreed every Sunday Morning.

I need to get some sleep so I can get up early.

Started out pissing off the GF, so I worked on the engine transplant on the riding lawn mower. It had a disintegrating seal on the gas cap and was sending chunks into the gas tank blocking the fuel line.

Got that fixed and then started prepping the pack out for work people are asking me to help with.

Went to the GFs house and working on shit for her. Feeling beat to shit after the work there, so take a shower to prep for dinner.

She paid me back with a horizontal bop.

Went to BBQ for dinner.

Home watching tv feeling old.

In. About to do return lines and orings on the most recent addition to my fleet. A 90 F350 CCLB 4x4 7.3 idi n/a auto. I got it running where I got it and aboit burnt it to the ground 5 miles from where I got it. It wasnt leaking when I got it running or for the hour I let it run but they let loose once I got on the road.

M92PV4U Is that a Winchester 1902? Perfect beginner gun. I have one that my kids have shot some. Its like a Cricket but quality.

Woke up this morning at 7:30, checked the weather and it was 80 degrees with a “real feel” temp of 98.

A did a little bit of weed eating and ran to Walmart for a cooler. But pretty much been hiding in the house all day watching House of Dragons & avoiding the heat & humidity .

This heat & humidity has my grass blowing up, but it’s too wet to mow.

Made breakfast for the kids, went jogging (runners are annoying douchebags during relays) cleaned the dirt bikes from last weekend, left the wife alone to stress clean, then when I saw the dad above (M92PV4U) I took mine shopping and I’ll have to figure out what I want to do.

Anyone able to convince me a $370 Henry is worth it over a $150 Savage Rascal?

In now.

We went up to Chico to give the youngest kids roommate her graduation gift from us. She’s going to be moving back to Napa to pursue a career as a RN. Great kid, we hope she stays in touch.

We took the girls out for brunch, then hung out at their apartment for a little while and messed with Taz. Taz is our kids cat. I should know better, but he drew blood when I was messing with him. I have the old man skin now :homer:

Tomorrow Mrs is going to visit with a former coworker. I’m going to clean out crap we should have tossed years ago to make room for the new generator in one of the sheds.

Meanwhile… I’m going to grill up some bacon and black pepper flavored sausages to snack on later :smokin:
