spring and detent comes in from the back behind the stock or up from the PG, I forget which
pretty sure the rear pin is the stock and the safety is the PG

safety can sometimes be forced on when the hammer is down, don't do that, only operate it with the hammer back
IIRC…

Safety detent/spring are held in by the pistol grip. The rear take down pin detent/spring are held in by the buttstock.

Been a while since I got that deep into a tear down :homer:

We were also a couple of dindunuffins most all day, just a dog walk and out to buy GF a little transistor radio for her forklift. Gotta be up at 0400 to see her off to work so I am giving the beer a hard pass tonight.

I made up a reck of ribs to go with the scalloped potatoes she made so dinner is covered.

Bullied the wife into finishing cleaning up her garden :shaking:

The 5 yards of rock I put around the boxes was cleared out with the healp of a skid loader I was trying out for my brother (he's 1K miles away, looking to pick it up).

Then I cleaned up along the fence row, just have to rake the dirt smooth so I can mow it next summer.

Took back the skidloader, and found out the trailer has a 2-5/16" ball, not a 2" ball like the owner said :homer:

Now, using the smoker to cook a pizza for dinner.

In. Relaxing before trying to play auto mechanic again tomorrow.

Zero luck in first attempt to press bushings out of lower control arms(02 Tacoma) The bottle jack method didn't budge them after hosing them down with PB blaster. I am going to try using bearing puller makeshift tool. OTOH, I may just break down and take them to a shop to get them removed. I really don't want to spend $100+ on an OTC tool for one use. I need to save the inner sleeve since I'm going poly.

I need to move a bunch of branches to the fire barrow for fire tomorrow... converted wheelbarrow hopper to redneck fire pit:homer: Makes it easy to dump the ashes.:emb: Sadly, the chainsaw isn't cooperating for cutting small branches down. I should also split some more wood down.

Approximate five hours of driving to finish up an hour of work that ends a bunch of my field stuff for the year. Still have computer work to finish it off, but that’s for tomorrow. The wife, kids, and I did a grocery store run after I got back. The oldest is feeling better finally, and requested pork ribs for supper. So, we did those, filets, and some sausage.

Bled the power steering on the Jeep with my steering wheel holder of an offspring and some random kid from down the street. I offered to buy him a slurpee but his mom wasn’t home and his brother was being a **** and said he couldn’t walk down the street with a Millennial.

2 mile jog to the park with the kid on his StaCyc. First ride on major streets with cars going 45 and he did awesome staying behind me. He ate **** off the climbing wall at the park so we left. With a ‘feels like’ of 42 we’re out there kinda cold in t shirts and shorts.
Ran another 5 miles home. Passed his school and took him the way I’d have him ride a bike home. He pointed out the irate member’s house(s) we passed.

Colored some zombies with the minor I’m responsible for this weekend. Pulled my best XJ owner skills and pained using my favorite flavor of crayon. I think I did good enough keeping it between the lines to show I was obviously high on meth.

Joked up the winch and spoiled in the free 3/8 cable I received from an irate member. Shocked myself at how well I can listen to instructions on how to spool in which cable in the garage. Didn’t lose any fingers and shocked myself at how much MORE cable the winch can hold.

Let the no good rotten crotch fruit play with his friends just to discover he went to some OTHER kid’s house (birthday party) without telling me. As I went to go find him another set of parents we walking him back home. The ones he play with yesterday and said I was going to give him a 5:30 pm curfew. Mostly because it was Friday and dad probably didn’t want some strange kid in/around his house when we’d never met and he maybe wanted to have dinner.

About to watch something on the television. If I get super bored I’ll put tires on the ****box and move it out of the garage so my wife can clean up everything so she can park inside since it’s getting colder. Maybe I’ll find something else on the jeep like the hydraulic ram I need to limit travel on.

There is one that comes in behind the buffer tube retainer, and one under the pistol grip. Don't remember what each does.

There are no holes that I can see for one to come through for the rear takedown pin. I will look with better lighting in the AM. If not will be at the range after hours with one of my old high school classmates next weekend to run through it before I try to send lead down range.

Youth deer season with the kiddos youngest shot her first deer an 8 pt buck with the 6.5 grendel. She got scoped hard but is very excited . Oldest had a beautiful shot on a decent buck also and shockingly missed but it completely changed her drive to want to do more .

We probably saw 40 deer today ten of which they had 20-30 minutes of beautiful picture perfect shot opportunities but fought finding them in the scope, it was frustrating to watch but a fun experience.

I think after work tomorrow I need to refresh my “AR anatomy“. It would be different if I had one sitting in my lap right now. I’ve been focusing on establishing shotgun muscle memory lately.

Got a call from the hospital today... My Doc wants to cut open my right knee and clean out a bursa Monday morning. I have been walking around on this bitch for almost two weeks; feels like someone is sticking a hot poker in my knee. Left knee is sore but Doc says he has an easy fix for that once my righ knee infection is taken care of.
I suspect it is either a cactus or insect bite that ****ed up my right knee! :flipoff::mad3::flipoff::mad3:

Bull**** day of easy overtime. ****er flooded the day room and broke a broomstick and had a spear and refused to lockdown and became a bitch when then the posse showed up. My unit had a fight over someone changing the TV. I hate paperwork. This behavior is nothing new but less common in my facility. Inmates have been moar uncompliant the last few weeks.

Caught the end of the dbacks game. Having several brews and pulls of whiskey and rum watching ancient aliens.

My bro in law is gonna swing by tomorrow morning. Gonna grab a trailer then we're heading back to his place to load a fridge and a cabinet that this father built befer he passed. I told him I'd keep it in my shop and out of the elements.

When I first got out of the Army people we’re trying to talk me into corrections, or CHP. I was past the age cut off for CHP, and the only way I’d do corrections is in a tower with a rifle.

I know a couple guys working corrections. They do get some crazy overtime, but it’s just not for me.

Was not in...first time in awhile. Took out gooseneck hitch that came in truck. It was held to frame with a single weld bead on either side. Installed BW hitch. Then went to farm and burnt pile of old barn wood. It was pleasant.

No idea how shipping would work, but I'd totally buy that old hitch for $20. :rasta:
We cut it in order to get it out.
I meant the rotten barn remnants lol
It laid there in nice stack for two or three years. No buyers. The "We want your old barn" people think you should pay them to remove the barn.

Wasnt in. I was at a wedding where I didn’t know anyone, including who was getting married. I had no service and couldn’t use my phone. It seemed it was a contest between all the women there to see who could have the most amount of their ***s showing without popping out. Lol. Then we went to a Halloween party at my wifes friends house that was just full of loud middle school girls. I fell asleep since I had been up since 3am when I had to haul an early load of fuel.

Congrats to your boy xr-nut

I didnt know a grendel moved enough to actually scope sombody:laughing: Either way, thats an impressive lil round
I didn’t know it could either I’m not sure how she managed it I even wondered if I didn’t grab it too fast from her and smack her by accident we may never know . I was trying to help her but also focused on the deer and trying to coach . I love that thing definitely will be using it for myself this year.

I centerpunched the shoulders of a buck last year just to see wtf. It did more than I thought it was goona do:smokin:

I dont think I'll pack an AR for hunting again, but a lil bolt gun in 6arc or grendel would be pretty slick
