Want to try to do more tuning this year. Wondering if there was a better starting point. This is a rec truck, some rocks, some go fast.

  • 2.5 14" coilover with DCS adjusters
  • 250/300
  • 1" off preload, 7" of shaft showing at ride height
  • 2.5 16" 3 tube bypass
  • 730lbs of sprung weight per corner

The shocks are on the arms, but not very far up. 41" arms, the bypass is 5" from the center of the heim on the axle side, the coilover is 10 1/2". I haven't got the corner weights yet. One ton axles and 40" tires, so not light. I got the front shocks(16" coilers, no bypass) from accutune and they revalved them, so I'm assuming they're more in the ballpark. Truck has 124" wheelbase, 70" wms on rear axle. Any help or critiquing is greatly appreciated. And, no. I have no ****ing idea what I'm doing.

thanks, Dan

Do you know what valving is in them? What are the issues with the current setup?

50/70-coilover
2.1/70-bypass

I wouldn't say there were any real issues withe the suspension. The rest of the truck is a different story. I guess what I should have asked is, is the valving fox put in them a good enough stating point. I'll add that the rear of the truck never felt like it was close to bottoming out. I'm in unfamiliar waters and admit it, the last rig had ori's

thanks, Dan

30/30 in the coilover
2.1/30 in the bypass
  • short tube 6 turns out from all the way closed
  • long tube 4 turns out from all the way closed
  • rebound tube 2 turns in from all the way open
200 psi in the shocks
50psi in the bump stops

get the spare tire hanging off the back will have drastic increase ride quality and ease of tuning.

thank you!
I would start by hooking the sway bar back on
The swaybar is connected when it's wheeling.
