What's new

service stabilitrak service traction control

AND then I cleaned the throttle body and now driving on the highway its not giving any codes or display notices on speedo cluster.

Now I'm wondering if a dirry throttle body could have an effect on my 07 Silverado classic 6.0L Chevy issues.

Seriously considering putting the 1970 LS6 454 into that 3500 truck.

Just thinking about engine to transmission interface if I keep the 4L80E.

He pulled 64 first, that one didn't work. Once he realized there was a second one. He pulled that one, which was 9 and it worked from the sounds of it.

If theres one thing I've learned about 90's to early 2000's chevys. The most random thing can create a symptom for something else, that will throw a code.

And the same can be said for pretty much any vehicle manufacturer. I know my 2000 4runner isn't always easy to chase issues down on.

But atleast the big block in my k10 is easy to work on.

I definitely look for the most simple and cheap options to diagnose bad parts on newer vehicles. And cleaning a throttle body is definitely cheap and easy. So could be worth looking at on your 6.0L

Required as tps was changed.

RELEARN PROCEDURE

Perform the following relearn procedure for the on-board computer to adjust to the new idle position on the electronic throttle body.

1. Start and run the engine in PARK for 3 minutes.

2. Turn the engine OFF for a minimum of 60 seconds.

3. Start the engine and run for another 3 minutes.

4. Engine should idle normally after 3 minutes.

After having performed the relearn procedure and the engine still does not run within normal idle speed, it will be necessary to drive the vehicle above 45 mph (70 Km/h) including several decelerations. Also ensure that after driving the vehicle, let the engine idle for a minimum of 5 minutes.

If the engine has returned to normal idle speed, the relearn procedure is completed.

Do you have to relearn a new throttle position sensor?
Reprogramming or resetting your sensor can sometimes solve these issues. This step can also be necessary when you install a new sensor. The easiest way to reset your throttle position sensor is to unhook the negative cable from your battery for up to five minutes or to remove the fuse for your engine control module.

Still gives cylinder 7 misfire.

Swapped out a new coil just a month or so ago, will get new plug wires and plugs asap,

Just figured out it has AFM from a printout Chevy printed out for me.

AFM uses cylinder 7 as part of its scheme.

Wife’s 2007 Yukon has thrown Service Stabilitrac codes for both the TPS, and misfires due to worn out ignition components. New TPS and/or plugs and wires.

Looking for a tuner now that will delete the AFM and Stabilitrak / traction control system, thoughts on deleting these systems ?
