Thank you very much. My Cajun buddies came up today and checked them out. They’re really happy with them. Tomorrow is opening day and we will know how well they work out
I’m out for tomorrow morning hunt but hopefully not the evening hunt. I just had nerve surgery on my leg this morning and can’t wear my prosthetic leg for a few weeks yet. But believe it or not I can get up the ladder and into my deer stand anyway. I inch worm myself up the ladder backwards and then pull all my stuff up with a rope. I’ll leave my backpack in my stand now that we have these new enclosure style blinds. I have a under pressure ball (around the size of a softball) filled with pain medicine that is regulated feed directly into the nerve they worked on. It goes for around three days until it’s empty and looks like an apple core. I’m worried about dealing with it going up the ladder as it’s stuck into the right lower ass check area. The ladder I have on my blind is wide and at the right angle to inchworm up it
Whelp, I got up into my blind for today’s evening hunt. I was in here for maybe 30 min when a nice buck come charging through the woods around 150 yards out. First deer I shot since 2015.
We got around 5” of snow real early this morning and the hunters with me went out while it was still snowing heavily still dark in the morning.
