Looking at a job that would require me to interact virtually and physically with Poland. I know nothing of the country, it's people or it's government. Does anybody know some good resources to educate myself?

Saw a video on X where they authorized live ammo to repel invaders migrants. Didn't validate it personally, but if true, I like where their head's at.

I have a friend who was recently stationed there for a total of nearly 3 years over two deployments. If you want to call him, send me a message and I’ll get you connected.

My bosses boss just came back from there after spending two weeks there. One for our work and one for pleasure trip. That’s all I got other than he came back with a cold.

Submarines with screen doors:homer::lmao:

The people I got to interact with were great when I was in a team with a bunch. Fairly good grasp of english and were warm when they came to the states. I'd say I had only a mild issue with the arrogance of one of the guys... he was ridiculously smart but refused to look beyond his ideas.:shaking:

I just submitted my resume. If I get an interview I may take you up on that.

and

Sweet, thanks!

We have an office there and I deal with the people there reasonably often. I have been there for work as well as for personal travel. The Polish people are super friendly with Americans. In the big cities most everyone speaks English well enough to communicate. Most of my time has been in Warsaw. Little to no crime, it is not uncommon to see a few little kids walking home from school through a major city without supervision. Got to get trained up if you want to go shot for shot with vodka with them

Vodka is not my strong suit any way.

Poland is fucking cool from people that I know with first hand experience. Good people! I supported a site in Romania; locals were dirt poor but friendly. Luggage in the Hotel room was gone through daily. I sware; my expenses were just under $200 US per week. But I had fun! :smokin::smokin::smokin::smokin:

A pollack and a Frenchman are walking up a road, where they find a pig with its head stuck in the fence

Frenchman says to the pollack "eet iz ze perfect opportunitzee" drops his pants, and fucks the pig.

He finishes up and tells the pollack that now his turn.

Pollack drops his pants and sticks his head through the fence

I have a hs friend who travels there yearly as a chaperone funny part speaks English’s only been going about 15 years never had communication issues and travels the entire country with groups of teens. He’s actually there right now. His place is to move there and teach English full time.

Any idea about their politics? Work ethics?

I used to work with a lot of older Poles. I think they all had a shrine to Reagan at their homes. They don't like what the left is pushing.

I did spend a few days in Poland a few years ago. Clean, safe and people were friendly.

Well shit. What does their extradition policy look like? :grinpimp:

Work ethic seems solid. Politics are anti-Russia so in my experience more conservative. Law and Justice party is in power now. They are right wing.

Oh, they have the best law regarding boat registration. It takes 48 hours and anyone can register under the Polish flag at a cost under $500 USD and it's good for a lifetime. My sailboat will be under the Polish Flag.
