I have a couple decent heavier barrels and wanting to put together a rocket heater, hours of searching gives me plenty of fundamentals, shapes and kinds but no facts on heat chamber size. Sure it has to be twice as tall as the burn chamber is long, and leaving a 1.5-2" gap between the top and the inside of the barrel when inverted.
Question being, what diameter should the heat chamber be, and after insulating it what's the ultimate gap to leave around it and the inside of the barrel?
