Looks super cool! But unless your sitting on phone books you're not going to see over the hood. Figure out how to drop the hood so you can see over it. If your are 6'-15" then figure out how a short person will see over it.

Tim Cameron drives the wheels off his rigs....shorter guy, usually his buggies seem to have hoods in the field of view but mofo can drive.

Rock bouncers are more like sailors steering a moving ship using the trees and hill tops instead of the stars. Im guessing they don’t have time to react to anything closer than what they can see.

Have you been able to measure the useable articulation of the inner tripod joint yet? I've never seen one capable of the travel you are modeling unless it's a non plunging CV style.
