Can anyone clarify what exactly it takes (or if even possible) to PWM control a SSR with the Terminator X system? I want to do this in order to control a brushed cooling fan.

For whatever reason I cannot wrap my head around doing this properly. I've searched other forums and cannot seem to gather what I am looking for. I am not opposed to using the Widgetman controller but would like to avoid the extra clutter if the Terminator can handle it.

Is it as simple as substituting the PWM signal from Widgetmam's controller for a PWM output of the Terminator X as shown in the picture below?

I feel like I am probably missing something extremely obvious or overthinking. I have started wiring my buggy and just want to get it right the first time. Any spoon feeding is appreciated.

Yes and no.
Term X will feed a PWM negative signal, not a positive. The rest is the same.

Thank you. I am blind and/or dense when it comes to this stuff. It is all new to me. Old.school relays and triggers, no problem. This, not so much.

It has been a while but you and I have similarly messaged in the past about this. You provided some great links. Most people, including you IIRC, are/were using a factory fan controller (C6, Ford Fusion and the like) rather than a SSR to do this. I'd like to do that but my issue is the amp load of my fan exceeds the capacity of the factory controllers, hence the SSR.

Since the Terminator outputs a PWM -, would I just invert the wiring and trigger the relay on the negative side? Basically just swap the PWM input to the upper negative post rather than the upper positive one as shown in the picture?
