Here is a Rock Crawler project that a buddy and I are doing. My part is to take the cab, Superduty axles and a pile of steel and make it a roller.

To start we had to come up with a plan. 2x6 main chassis tubes, 1.75” DOM cage, Superduty Axles, 5.3 Motor, 3L80 trans, 241 case, front radius arm style suspension with coils and shocks. Rear will be a 4 link with coils and shocks. #BFR_Built

In. My grandfather just past away. He gave me a 1940 Dodge 2 1/2 ton that he bought back before I was even thought of. I'm 51 now. I actually learned to drive it at 11. Always thought about just using the cab and such for a daily wheeler.

Picked up a couple of 5.3’s shipped in from the south.

Used the old masking template method for the head plates.

I will be using these plates to attach the motor to my chassis cart. This allows me to keep the factory motor mounts free and clear to fabricate brackets.

What's going on with the axle and the jack? Is that all that's holding it up to raise it up and down easy?

Sorry for the delay on updates. I was tired of buying all the brackets from other companies so I ordered a plasma table. My table should arrive this week.

But I haven’t just been chillin. I did some work on a small flatbed trailer. New tongue jack, added brace and new lights and wiring.

I also did a 4.5/6” lowering kit on this 79 C10 with 66k miles on it.

Here we go. New tires and wheels are here. I stared putting the high steer brackets on. We ran into a problem with the Barnes parts. We keep finding missing parts. The best way to solve that is I bought a CNC plasma table. Super excited to start making some parts.

Plasma table is still boxed up. I need to run electrical and air to the spot.
