I remember back in the day when you could just buy IIIA vests for $50 on eBay I came across a build on a forum where someone was using them as donor panels for a scatter-shield. :laughing:

Yea I'm sure it was a 24 valve truck. Looked to be an x cab long box chassis.

If I remember right, those Flippac campers have a spring in the hinged part and those rods are mainly just for stability. Same deal as the wildernest I have.

10-4. I’m pretty sure the owner of that used to be a PBB member and I keep hoping he shows up here. He’s got more cool shit than anyone on the internet. His wheeling rig is an SAS’d Toyota. Lives in the PNW Washington.

I'll never get the rat rod thing.

Building something that looks like shit just means you built something that looks like shit.

I don't get the fake patina thing either. What's next? Shaving the tires bald and rolling the odometer forward? Tearing holes in the seats and cracking the windshield?

I have no problem with rat rods if they're basically pulled out of a field and made to drive and if whatever bullshit they sprinkle all over is functional. When there is just junk attached everywhere they lose me immediately.

I'd rock the hell out of an ugly old rig because fuck worrying about door dings and waxing it monthly but I'm not going to play dress up to get it there, that's silly.
