One of these days I want to be a pit helper at PP.
... the best days are long gone ...
instead of uncorked v-8's and crazy boosted rally cars, now it's e.v's with sirens
Thats from 2012
... some places are worse than others to yeet
Small world, I was sitting in the same spot. Thought for sure the passenger was done with how his head was coming out the window on every roll then getting swatted back in on the rocks. Must have had a good helmet.Saw that one happen from the out on the rocks at the devils playground
... thought for sure they were fubar ...
They were very lucky
I have a love/hate with pp
You know my history thereI have a love/hate with pp. the place died with me when they eliminated motorcycles, but when you raced it, it’s in your blood and can’t be completely let go. Plus, being in the museum is kind of special too
Ya. We had the 2 deaths the 2 years we raced. They were both tough being there and knowing the guys. Then Carlin the year we visited you guys at fan fest. It’s almost like the plague when we are there 🙁You know my history there
In my blood for sure
Losing Carlin Dunne was the last straw that killed my enthusiasm for the race - he was the best of the best, and the first person under 10 min. Just an outstanding human.
On top of totaling the Cayman the year before, breaking a streak of 9 finishes
I miss my mates I would only ever see at the mountain, should have gone to Tech Inspection yesterday but I have zero desire (never say never) to return to the mountain.
Maybe when I am not dealing with an IMSA schedule
I didn’t realize you were a regular there. I would think we crossed paths at some point, or maybe we did and I just don’t remember?... same ...
For over forty years, I never missed a practice session
I didn’t realize you were a regular there. I would think we crossed paths at some point, or maybe we did and I just don’t remember?
That’s really early to wake up to enjoy the spectacle... probably did
shit man, I'm just a nobody ... not a good wrench, absolutely not a driver worthy of any form of competition
... just somebody who enjoyed the spectacle and the machines
Nice, tuning in now. It’s go time
